 I recently purchased a copy of Mass Effect on Steam, but it crashes when I try to launch it.

I start up the game and the logo appears on my desktop, then the screen goes black for a few seconds, then ends up back at the logo with an error message telling the that "Mass Effect has stopped working".

I have tried running Steam as an admin, updating DirectX, and running masseffect.exe directly (With XP Package 2 compatibility). I checked the file integrity and everything should be okay, but the problem still persists. Would someone please help me?

I am running Windows 7 Home Premium 64-bit with an Intel Core i3 CPU with Intel® Graphics Media Accelerator 4500MHD

I don't have a real graphics card, but I can run games on good settings all the same.
