Indeed, BioWare keeps disappointing in the armor department. It's like they're not even trying...

Also, the battledress is a bit overpowered once it's unlocked in DAO. Its only requirement is 20 strength, which is very easy to start the game with at level 1. Powerful unlockables should have high requirements, forcing you to earn the right to use them.

I agree that visually, it's nothing to get excited about. Remember that it is armor, not a ball gown.

Just like for Mass Effect 2 why should we rely on game mods from other players to make something that BioWare should have done in the first place?
*Taken from my review of Leliana’s Song. *
-Battledress of the Provocateur is kind of nice. To bad it looks exactly like most of the other armor we already get and its only the base armor and not a whole set. Why not make it look like the concept art armor you see her in?

They make plethora of new meshes and stuff for ME2, spewing new (paid)armors left and right but couldn't be actually arsed to remake the stuff from Dragon Age trailers.

The light armor that Leliana wears in the Sacred Ashes trailer would have been nice: images3.wikia.nocookie.net/__cb20100625220410/dragonage/images/c/cd/Lelianassong.jpg
I think they should have added a new bow or another dagger too. you get more stuff in Return to Ostagar and that costs less

yeah, I definitely thinks it needs some red in there to stand out. Color is important. Cailan's armor is my favorite armor set even it's the same model as the Juggernaut armor. The gold makes it look cool.

I was really really hoping they'd use that as skin for the armour. Loved the DLC but no unique skin for the leather armour was a huge disappointment to me.
I understand resource restricitions but light armour needed some skin variance really badly. I'd even have been fine if they only made a female version restricted to lelianne only. (whihc would have used less resources)
DLC: Great - Light armour skin: Epic Failure

When I read it "Battledress of the Provacteur" I was thinking maybe this is her concept art armor since Morrigan has her's basically in her robes and robes of possession, but nope we get standard leather armor. That and recycling Marjolaine's voice for Dorathea are the only complaints I have of the DLC.

Worst. Reason. Ever.
Now you will start telling me that the the Bioware DA studio is too poor to afford making a simple mesh.
It's not like they will be animating and adding horses to the game which would cost much more.
@Barachiel
Heh and you know what's even a bigger paradox?
Blood Dragon Armor in ME2

Armor from the Trailer we won't get. Ever.

That looks a lot like the Warden Commander armor you get from Sophia at Soldier's Peak.

This is why I love moddable games. The community succeeds where the devs fail.

but I heard in awakening it scales to tier 9 so I'll use it with wolfethreads and slippery ferret's gloves since the blackblade set is incomplete

Especially with the modded armor that's around, I sure wouldn't. The studded leather armor is just butt-ugly.Zy-El wrote...
Tell me that you won't put this armor on any Rogue you start off with. Yeah, it's pretty good armor.
