Hello again,

I would be very thankful if somebody can give me som advice how to retexture via gimp properly. I can open up the dds-files thanks to the plugin. But when I export them (I tried first a heraldry retexture because it seemed to be the most simple reskinning) but after export (dxt5, generate mipmaps, the toolset will not recognize my new texture. the shield just stays blank. (Yes I made a M2DA, converted it after some errors sucessfully to a gda. The toolset gives me the opportunity to chose my new texture but the texture will not appear on the model.)

By the way has anybody else noticed that the "shield kite" shows as a round shield in the toolset?

Kind regards,
G.

Thanks for the reply, but I finally got it right (just some 30 minutes ago). The first mistake I made was that I used a wrong Compression to save the .dds-file. I used BC3/DXT5 whereas Aplha exponent (DXT5) was right. After that I could see the heraldry in the toolset. But I had astill some problems. the white parts did not show up. And the green was there, but rather hilarious and not the colour I wanted. I managed to get it right wit the use of DXTBmp. I will update the wiki as soon as possible.

Kind regards,
G.

Edit: Spelling.

Did you ever figure it out? If you could post how you did it that would be great I am experiencing the same problems. The Alpha exponent I already figured out but no idea what to do next.
