I actually like to solo more than I like the group game. Don't get me wrong. I would always play the group game for my first playthrough so that I could see the story. However, I would have only played the game twice if it were not for the solo games. Now I have played every origin story with solo games including a pure spell caster mage, rogue archer and 2H warrior. I guess the only thing I haven't tried is a S&S warrior.
The build of your character becomes critical in a solo game. In some ways the game is actually easier as a solo player. You simply need to plan ahead a bit. You need to know how you will deal with each different type of battle and make sure you don't encounter those until you are ready. How will your solo player handle mobs, overwhelms, mages (crushing prison is a reload screen), archers and the various boss battles? You need to pick your skills accordingly and you will find that skills that were not helpful in the group game are critical to solo survival and skills that seemed really good in the group game don't help much in a solo game.
That just means that it is a different way to enjoy the game. If you find that you like it, great. If not, add your NPC's back into your group. The early part of the game can be frustrating because you don't have any skills yet. If you don't like that, start your solo experience at Lothering
I know that I'm no the only person who feels this way. I work with someone who was playing the game for the first time and told me that he didn't really like it. I suggested trying a solo game and when I ran into him the following week he told me he loved playing it solo.
Is it possible to solo the game?

Here are some examples you can solo the game with every class on nightmare just take a look.
I strongly prefer spirit warriors as a class they are more fast than rogues, magical as the arcane warrors and they possess the strenght of the warriors

Aren, How many mods did you use?
I never seen other fighters standing still when a battle is in progress. I get ganged up on when I solo the Wilds and the Tower at Ostagar.
Maybe I should have my son to build me a gaming computer.
