Good Evening,

I got the itch to play DA:O again after finishing it a few months ago.  The first thing I wanted to do was download the two DLC packs, Return to Ostagard and Darkspawn Chronicles.  I went to the EA site and purchased 800 points without any issue and started the game back up. 

I initially clicked on the Darkspawn Chronicles, hit 'Buy', then 'Buy Content' but instead of being able to purchase it I got the following error message:

 "Sorry, your request could not be completed at this time.  Please try again later".

Puzzled, I attempted the same thing with Return to Ostagard but I was able to purchase this DLC and download it just fine.  Thinking it was just a momentary glitch I tried to purchase Darkspawn Chronicles again but got the same error message.

I waited a few hours and when I was still unable to buy the DLC I got in touch with the EA Live Chat support.  I got a very unhelpful response of , "Maybe the server is down.  Try again in a few hours".  Well, when I got back from work today I tried it again and still no luck.  It's been over 30 hours.  So, I got back onto the Live Chat support and guess what the response was...."Try again in a few hours".

I suspect if I wait an entire week at this point the response will still be "Try again in a few hours".

I have a hard time imagining that EA would allow one of their revenue streams to be offline (aka, the ability to purchase DLC).  Can any tech folks tell me that the server is indeed offline or is there something else going on that you could help me with?

I am actually have the exact same issue. I was able to buy the new DLC that came out today, but I can't purchase Darkspawn Chronicles. I even tried all the fixes other people have tried, but still no luck. I would be interested in a official reply as well.

Same problem here: i bought Leliana's Song and Return to Ostagar without any problem, but like said by Barakas, if i try to buy Darkspawn Chronicles i obtain this message:

"Sorry, your request could not be completed at this time. Please try again late." -i have the italian version of the game-.

Yesterday, following a link to Google, i wrote this problem in a wrong section of the forum, where others have had the same problem and one guy said to have solved it buying the DLC through the website. I am a bit reluctant in doing this way because every time i bought something not using the internal interface of the game i had a lot of problems...-Bioware points missed, DLC's not available after buying them and so on...-.

One more thing: i love Bioware and their games, but with Dragon Age someone made a huge mess creating the infrastructure that manages the DLC's. It was a pain in the *** -i censored myself- from the first day: the proof of that is that with Mass Effect 2 i had no problem at all.

I can't purchase Leliana's Song. I get

Internal Error. The server encountered an error and could not complete your request. If the problem persists, please report your problem and mention this error message and the query that caused it.

I have more than enough points to buy this.

Well, I'm glad to hear it's more than just me having this issue. The standard EA help is not getting me anywhere. They told me today to clear my browser cache, like trying to purchase DLC from within their game has anything to do with whether my IE browser cache has been cleared or not.



Any help from Bioware on this?!?!

I didn't know you could purchase the DLC from the website but thanks to Asthalia's comment I googled and found:

I clicked on the PC button under the Darkspawn Chronicles section, purchased the DLC, and logged back into the game. I'm happy to say that as soon as I clicked on the Downloadable Content link from the main menu I saw that the DLC was downloading.



Looks like this is a way around their busted in game method.

Thanks Barakas, following the link and purchasing The Darkspawn Chronicles from there solved the exact problems raised by the thread creator. When you launch DA:O and log in, the addon automatically downloads. I'm running DA:O on Steam aswell : )

Same problem here. Was able to purchase other dlc's but haven't been able to get darkspawn chronicles even after waiting more than 48 hours. 

Thx for the workaround though. I'll have to get it from the site.

In player plofiel my total points is 385 but it does not show .and I cant play the the darckspawn chronicles Help me
