Will an enemy always have the same stats no matter your level, or do things level with you as you go? I wont say where, but I went somewhere on the world map and got into an encounter, just another normal one from the looks of it, yet i got mauled and destroyed. That hasnt happened much, so I was wondering if it was just my bad playing or if they really were stronger than me.
Do enemies level up with you, or stay the same?

Dragon Age uses the same level scaling system Bioware has been using since KoTOR, possibly even Baldur's Gate if I'm not mistaken.

I don't think they had it in Baldur's gate yet - or at least not to the same degree. I can remember, in BG2, going too early to one location (Firkraag's digs), and finding myself outmatched. It was challenging, but still much easier on a following playthrough where I waited until I was at a little higher level.
