I think soldier has got to be the easiest. Infiltrator may technically be the "sniper" class, but it can't beat the Adrenaline Rush + Sniper Rifle that a soldier can do. And the Assault Rifle makes a better medium weapon than the SMG, meaning soldier > infiltrator hands down. The shotgun is also nice against husks. If you are on a second playthrough and can add Geth Shield Boost to it, I don't see how it can possibly be stopped.
I am wary of adept because too few biotic attacks can work against shields/armor.

My favorite "strategy" on the VG is spray-'n-prey with the Locust and powers (usually Area Reave mixed with whatever squaddies I felt like taking along) until the mob is thinned a bit and then liberally abusing Charge and my claymore. That's basically it...

Didn't really have a hard time with any class the enemy AI is just as retarded on Insanity as it is on Veteran so once you know how to play a class right Insanity is easy with them all.

Adept: Strip defenses with Warp or Energy Drain, then go to town with Warp Explosions.
Engineer: Use the drone to tank. You can't really lose.
Infiltrator: Ah, one hit kills.
Sentinel: Sentinels whip through every fight but the last one with incredible speed.
Soldier: Ah, more one hit kills.
Vanguard: Charge is difficult to use effectively on a console. You can't do half the things you see in those youtube videos.

When I got Tali And Legion it was easy to take down almost every enemy on the battlefield.
Maybe it's just me, but I don't see the appeal of Tali or Legion on Insanity. Their drones have such stupidly long cooldowns.

Same here. After that I went back to Hardcore, though.

Huh? Fully upgraded with guardian and the tech cooldowns it's only 6 seconds. 5.4 with the archon visor. That's not long at all.

Now I'm almost done with my 2nd run through, an Engineer on Insanity. The mage class, with fire, shock, ice powers and a summonable pet. Much different than my previous playthrough, though I probably played this Engineer far more agressive then most because of it.
I've also started an Infiltrator and Sentinel. Will be starting a Soldier soon too. All on Insanity, of course. I may get around to an Adept at some point.

Harder, yes, but possible. I did and I play on the 360.
Though I will say this, the enemies seem to focus on and attack Shepard a bit quicker during all my playthroughs than they do in all these PC videos I've watched. I can specifically think of times in some of the videos on the collector platforms where I've been in that situation tons of times and those collectors always would of shot me as I would run across there or that scion shockwave wave would have stunned and damaged me more there, etc. I've even focused on those moments during gameplay and during the videos numerous times to verify my suspicion, and for some reason it seems so.

Since you don't play any other difficulty. Have you played vanguard on new game+ Insanity? It's damn near impossible for me, I'm on 360 too.Simbacca wrote...
On my first ME2 playthrough, I played a Vanguard on Insanity. And I beat it. Frustrating as all hell at first, both learning the game and the most twitchy class, but well worth it in the end. I had a ton of fun and after learning the toughest class to get through Insanity on my first playthrough, I just can't play the game on any other difficulty.

It gets easier once you do Jack's mission and get the shotgun shield piercing upgrade. Found it suprisingly easier if I use cryo instead of inferno for many of the missions until i get the biotic cooldown.

And it's not like I'm a terrible shot either - the Collectors have enormous heads, yet I cannot one-hit them unless I'm shooting out of cloak. Not that I'm complaining, I beat Insanity and it was fun, but I just find it strange that everyone's talking about one-shot kills and I'm sitting here scratching my head. One kill every 4 seconds (as Cloak recharges) is not what I would call "tons of one-shots."

For some reason, I could never get one shot kills on Insanity with my (uncloaked) Infiltrator, despite my Widow (fully upgraded), my armor, my ammo (warp/tungsten), my passive power (Assassin) and my team (Miranda) all geared towards maxing out my damage or my headshot damage (when applicable).

One shot kills are overrated anyway. Especially considering any enemy you can one shot kill, you could aslo run up to and melee to death without coming close to dying.

Easiest was, in order:
- Soldier
- Infiltrator
- Sentinel
- Adept
- Vanguard
- Engineer
- Soldier
- Infiltrator
- Vanguard
- Adept
- Sentinel
- Engineer
Not really getting the distaste for the Adept on Insanity, but then again, a lot of people like Engineers, which I personally hated (but I did finish a playthrough with it). To each their own.
