Hey look, it's someone who was butthurt over Me2 who spends hours of their life trying to convince other people who enjoyed the game that no matter what they will be disappointed with the third one. How little of a life does someone have to have to spend all this time and effort to try and force others to vicariously live through their disappointment? Does the thought of other people having fun and enjoying a commercially and critically acclaimed product really instill such insecurity in some people?

Meh whatever. It's funner just to point and laugh instead.

Hye look, it's another internet White Knight who thinks that Bioware will reward them in some way if they defend them from any and all criticism.

There are however, two squadmate that honestly have no reason to leave in my game.

Garrus is the first one. He's sick and tired with C-Sec and the Specters, he tried to go out on his own and got his team killed. The only place he really hopes to make a difference is with Shepard

Tali is the second one. She was romance and exiled. Where the hell is she going to go?

The rest of them can come and go as they please. Infact I fully expect Samara to leave because she's out to kill my character once the mission is over, but find me a reason for the above two to leave.

Even if you got her exiled Bioware left themselves with an out. Tali will say that it is possible the exile will be overturned if she does something really great. So it is not out of the question that she'll be called back to the fleet.

well mr dude this is a good speculation and i see you put alot of thought into it. personally i think its a little early to make these assumtions seeing that bioware can do what ever the **** they want. i wouldnt be dissapointed if your prediction comes true. i just want to still be buddies with all my former friends and continue relationships with jack miranda tali and maybe samara if bioware decides to make her lovable Posted Image

I'm guessing there is gonna be a Krogan, Turian, Asari, Quarian, 3 or 4 humans, and an Elcor.

Yeah, I cant deny ME3 is likely to go down the way the OP puts it. Naturally, if they cant even be bothered to bring back the ME1 LIs as squadmates, my purchase of ME3 goes out the window.

Lol, careful Surface. You shove that tongue any further up Biowares you know what, youre likely to lose it. Just go sit down for five minutes and accept the fact that its okay, youre wrong, and it doesnt matter if people have completely legitimate problems with ME2. It was after all a dumbed down piece of mass appeal trash to try and line Bioware/EAs pockets.

Whatever, as long as Bioware does a good job as they did with ME2.

One thing to remember.

Talking about how the ME1 LI's were sidelined in ME2 is not evidence that the same will happen to the ME2 LIs in ME3.

When the ME1 LIs were sidelined in ME2 they still had another game to make up for it, if the ME2 LIs are sidelined there is no hope of redemption, it will be the end of the line.

Confused, why do you think the elcor can fight? :P

A renegade who romanced Tali? Amazing!

I think it's safe to say that everyone who got Mass effect 2 played until they got the "no one left behind" achievement and kept a playtrhough that had that full Squad intact.

That's stupid.

It's not even relevant to the actual topic at hand.

To be honest, no. After beating the game I looked back and decided that the suicide mission felt more meaningful with certain party members not making it. For my imported save, I killed off Thane, Jack, and Zaeed.

I have a feeling that iot will be based on who died in ME2.

Something like they added 6 new squad members, and then garrus, tali, and maybe one other person from your ME2 squad will be unlocked if you saved them in the final mission.

This is my face caring whether or not the ME3 squad will be entirely new.

Liara, either Ashley or Kaiden, plus the two squadmates you need to get an ending in which Shepard lives make four, which may be enough for ME3. Besides, if they left out Tali about 200 people would boycott the game, they can't have that.

I expect Kaidan/Ashley and Liara to be part of the squad. They said the 3 of them were not recruitable because they didn't want them to be part of the suicide mission. They could of course, change their minds but I don't see the point, so two of the ME3 squad will be Kaidan or Ashley and Liara. They could also set it up so if you dumped them in ME2 they refuse to work with you.

The rest will be a surprise.

i think they could set it up so whoever survived is recruitable for the 3rd game, but I don't know if they will put that much work into it. It would be easier if they did what they did in ME2 with Wrex. If he died someone else is running the clan if he lived he's not in your group but he's in the game.

They could set it up so there is an empty slot if they died, or set it up so you can recruit a replacement. I sort of like the empty slot. I don't mind a couple of new crew members, but I don't need as many as were available.

Lame, if they keep ME 2's system there would need to be more squadmates

This is what we have now with the previous Ten

Short Range Soldier
Long Range Soldier
Short Range Light Biotic
All purpose Biotic
Long Range Light Biotic
Short Range Power Biotic
Medium Range Power Biotic
All purpose Tech
Short Range Engineer
Long Range Engineer

The the two DLC characters:
Long Range Soldier
Short Range Specialty class

The squadmates are more pieces for the gameplay than clones of the character as they were in ME 1

With Liara  you would potentially have a
Short/Medium Range Power Biotic

Kaidan would be a Short Range Light Biotic

And Ashley would be a Medium range Soldier, from the information given in ME 1 anyway

If you massacre your teammates, having a less versatile squad may be the price you have to pay.   I do not expect this would be a game breaker, however.

Garrus has no reason to leave Shepard. Tali I see no reason to leave, unless she becomes Admiral, or wants to go back to the migrant fleet (provided she is not exiled). Legion looks up to Shepard (obviously) so he is not leaving.

Garrus, and Legion are must haves in ME 3, no doubt.
