Jesus Christ. Welcome to 6 months ago with that "Same Team" nonsense. The side proclaiming she was talking about the characters in the game was utterly annihilated in that thread, which is why the argument ended, and why that thread isn't a sticky/perma-bump and this one is.
Don't worry. Polite is incapable of admitting he's wrong, especially to me.

Bottom line is I think all or most of the squad will return. In the form of cameos and second class DLC squadmates. Some, like Morinth, Kasumi and [sad panda face] Zaeed may get e-mail treatment.

The Dragon Age 2 team got all their "bad news" out of the way early. They caught a lot of crap, but ultimately, they're better off getting it out of the way to allow anticipation to build with no future setbacks or stumbling blocks
Edit: Although, I guess "early" is a relative term. That game comes out in 8 months. We're not as far along the ME3 schedule.

Huh?.. Hello?..
We're waiting... You know, that you post:
"I, PoliteAssasin, hereby admit that I was wrong and failed epicly with my asssertion that Christina Norman was referring to the ME2 squad, when she stated that the "same team" should be kept for ME3. Smudboy has indubitably proven it by providing the evidence which happened to be the context of the item I had teared out of it to back up my claims. I am so sorry.

No one's forcing you to do anything. Instead of thinking out loud to satisfy your emotional securities, why not find a way to contribute to the discussion?smudboy wrote...

People believe me over you because I use sources to draw my conclusions. I don't simply speculate and then state my opinion as fact. I get my information from sources. Something you've yet to do. Sounds to me like your upset that only about 2-3 people believe your "placeholder" theory. That happens when you don't provide sources to go with your claims.smudboy wrote...

That's not the case. Unlike you, I'd be the first to admit I was wrong, but only if proven wrong. You've been proven wrong many times, yet you always seem to ignore those posts. Someone sounds like a hypocrite. You lack the audacity to admit you were wrong. I find that amusing because either your a really immature adult, or you are in fact a kid with inferiority issues.

a) I wasn't "thinking out loud". I was talking to actual, live people, like Christina Norman's development TEAM.PoliteAssasin wrote...

Apologies in advance. The following reply is entirely self-indulgent and not an example of a constructive forum post. I understand the need to refrain from this type of back-and-forth, but I just want to make a few things clear going forward.a) I wasn't "thinking out loud". Was that part of the government bail-out? Sorry, my Wall Street Journal subscription has lapsed. I'm not up on all that financial stuff.
Seriously though, if one side is guilty of being overly emotional and unable to see past their videogame character boners, it is certainly yours.
c) This is the last time I will ever ever reply to you. I had already stopped reading your posts, because you have nothing and you just glom on to whatever pseudo-argument happens to be most convenient on a given day, just to ensure you have the last word.
I wouldn't care, except that others often quote you and I avoid reading their replies because of it. I'm probably missing out on some good stuff.
d) I will begin to take you seriously again if and when you begin to retract obviously fallacious statements, rather than dropping the subject, only to bring it back around at a later date, throwing it in the face of the very people who you already know will have none of it.
You can start by admitting you don't know what "same team" means. ADMIT IT!
e) I contribute to this thread more than you can comprehend.

I never said has the squad set. I just said you can't use ME2 and loyalty missions as a "typical Mass Effect" thing. I've said before that ME3 is going to have to have another base squad that is there for recruiting by default, so if they decide to bring old characters back in but people want to kill them all, they still have a squad to run with. Your implications were people could not have ME2 characters in ME3 because they wouldn't have done the loyalty quests in ME2. They'd be dead if you didn't do them. Then you say they can't be there because you need to reaffirm loyalty and that all ME have this. Then you say that they need to have interaction, but you give the simple example of being able to kill two. And what? That means you can't have similar basic interactions with them in 3? In ME1, you see Garrus "Hey take me with you Shepard" "Ok". That's that. No earning of loyalty, just conversations. Why change it up for ME3? "Hey Shepard" "Oh hey Garrus, wanna go save the universe some more?" "Sure." Same old same old.
ME3 doesn't need to have the squad set in place to bring back old squad members. Nor does it need you to do a character specific mission to earn loyalty as evidenced by series tendencies. All I'm saying is, what reasons could there be for not having a character return. Individually, not as a whole, and then analyze why they COULD return, individually, not as a whole squad, but on an individual level.

As you can see Zulu, your belief that Polite did not write such words is utterly and completely destroyed. There is now, without a doubt, a 100.01% true example of what Polite has written, which invalidates everything you've ever said, possibly forever. This also gives us great insight into Polite's mind, and we can also deduce he is only wearing one sock, because he likes candy, and has read the basic works of Aristotle. He might've gotten past the firstpageparagraphsentence on the Categoria. This also only proves that you are a troll, and quite possibly, dare I say, someone who loves cats. But don't quote me on that.

Sorry, kid, I'd be the first to admit I'm wrong if so proven, but you post is logical and therefore invalid. So.

Well its how I interpreted your earlier statement. Turns we're pretty much in agreement though. I don't think you'd get your party at the beginning by default I think you'd at least have an ME1 style meet and greet with any who return. And yea we can't prove it. At best they're educated guesses and thought out assumptions, you did bring something to my attention I never thought of though, Legion is a machine, he can come back no matter what since he could just get a new body (I'd love a red one) he just wouldn't have Shepard's N7 piece. The Harley Dude wrote...
I made no such absolute statements. I said it would be inconsistent with past Bioware games to start a game with a full squad that has their loyalty set already. It is because of that I expect there will be new squad members regardless of how many are saved. That does not mean all are new as I expect Liara and Ashley/Kaiden will return along with Miranda or her sister. Legion could also be easily returned regardless of ME2 status. The others I suspect will not be part of the squad but will be available in cameos similar to Wrex, Shiala, etc. I can't prove this nor can you prove what you believe. It is all supposition.

continuity as much as they possibly can. Maybe I'll get to it tomorrow.
