Apostate.
Ranger. I think that would be badass. They are protectors of nature, skilled woodsmen, and often live reclusive lives as hermits. At least that's the D&D version of it. They could do something like LOTR. In that the Rangers were two secretive, independent groups organized by the Dúnedain of the North (Arnor) and South (Gondor)

-Chasind
-Orlesian Knight
-Dalish Mage (Might even be a Keeper apprentice)
And a Human Commoner would also be great. Specially for Rogues.

you mean a Chevalier?
that would be interesting.
i got another, Bandit origin.
also, to those who wonder how the darkspawn Diciples can be grey wardens, they already have the ability to sense darkspawn, and the way they gain sentience is drinking grey warden blood in a similar ritual as the joining, taking in the Grey Warden's resistance to the taint or something.

Orlesian Chevalier:
You are a respected chevalier in the Orlesian Empire, revered by all the people, you yearn for a chance to test your skills against more worthy opposition. A group of Grey Wardens passing through Val Royeaux take notice of your prowess and extend an invitation for you to join their ranks. Despite the promise of fear and suspicion from Fereldans, you accept.
Bandit:
You are a common thug, a petty criminal who holds up passing traders and civilians to gain gold or valuable items. Until your gang besets a travelling family, killing them when thy refused to give up their goods. Appalled by this heinous act, you speak out against your fellows. They disagree violently, and you are set upon. Fighting bravely, you are eventually taken down and are about to be executed, when a group of heavily armed men storm the camp, freeing you in the process. The men introduce themselves as Grey Wardens, and invite you to join with in their crusade against the Blight.

How about a Cerberus Operative origin story?
Haha, I am struggling to come with a reason why a Cerberus Operative would join the Grey Wardens
Cerberus Operative:
After yet another dangerous operation for the Illusive Man, you are travelling back to base, until you pass through a strange electrical storm. You frantically wrestle with your ship, but, you black out..... You wake in a strange forest with men in medieval armour and bearing swords standing over you. They claim to be a member of an order called the Grey Wardens, who fight something called darkspawn. Awed by your impressive array of weaponry, they invite you to join them. You hesitate, but something compels to accept the invitation.

Qunari Mage
Qunari Mage:
You are a mage amongst the qunari people, sent from your Seheron homeland to discover the differences between how human and elf mages are treated compared to yourself. You have become increasingly frustrated trying to gain access to the inner workings of the Circle of Magi, until, unexpectedly, you are granted a look into the life of a mage. Shocked by the prison-like existence of the mages, you attempt to free a group of unhappy students. The templars do not take kindly to this, and you are forced to battle your way out. Unfortunately, templar reinforcements corner you, but, just before the killing blow is struck you are saved from death by a human who claims to be a Grey Warden, his price for your life - joining his order.

Hatted by both your peoples you seek to prove yourself and show that you are superior to both your genetic lines.
Abilities:
Half Breed: hated by other characters.
Best of both worlds: increased strength and dexterity allows for you to adopt both rogue and warrior talents.

Doesn't this kind of clash with the established lore? The Qunari cut the tounge out of their mages, do they not? Kind of gives the impression that mages are not well tolerated amongst them, no?

Do they? I guess I didn't do my homework on this one. Apologies.
