Dragon Age was released less than a year ago. If they're announcing DA:2 then it will either be a rush job or the start of a long development cycle. Either scenario doesn't exactly make tomorrow a "good day for the fans".

I'm sure it's something really generic. More advertising merchandise like Dr. Pepper items, another publicity stunt disguised as a contest, or something like that.

DA:2 is coming out before March 31 2011. EA already announced that. It does seem like a rush job, but that's how EA handles things. I just never thought Bioware would be pushed along into doing that. EA likes to milk a franchise dry. Every year they like to release a new game. If Bioware hadn't intended Mass Effect to be a trilogy, they'd probably be giving them the same treatment. But who knows, they might do it for ME after the trilogy. We already saw a multiplayer programmer recruitment, for the Mass Effect franchise... :pinched:

But as long as ME3 isn't a rush job too, I'll be fine.

Dragon Age was released less than a year ago, but has been finished for almost a year and a half.

So gamespot AU thinks DA:2 which seems pretty likely. I don't post anywhere else on Bioware forums so sorry to raise anybody's blood pressure.

When Bioware teased the Bazaar with the countdown, gaming websites had stuff about it being an expansion pack. What did it turn out to be? A contest. All I'm saying is don't get your hopes up. Don't set yourselves up for a disappointment.

 -Polite

Not just any contest. A contest about spamming your links on other websites' message boards. BioWare had their community, or at least part of it, spam. That was pretty lame.

They promised to do something for non-Americans who couldn't participate so prepare to be insulted again.

I agree, the links were pretty pathetic. Even with posting my links on sites, I still couldn't compete with people who had been using proxies and such. The contest was honestly a joke. So many people cheated. I just hope that if it is Bazaar, that it is better coordinated.

Probably not ME2 related. They would have stated it then.

But this little "2morrow"...hmmm...could it be Dragon Age 2?

This.

I wonder if the release of the SDCC programming schedule has anything to do with it.

I still don't understand why DA:2 hasn't even gotten any coverage, seeing that it's expected to come out early 2011, possibly the feb. date in the expansion. It should have been at E3.

A surprise for Bioware fans, eh?

The only logical conclusion is that they are going to reveal a ME2 expansion, Dragon Age 2, and a brand new IP! Can't wait!!!

I don't care.

When the 'surprises' we get are:

-appearance packs (which would never have happened with customizable squad armor)

-Bazaar that I am absolutely not interested in, and in fact find mildly morally objectionable

-Shepard armor without helmet toggle (I'm sooo sorry, but I think I am rightly put off when Shepard takes a drink through a helmet)

-Weapons that cost, though they should have been in the game in the first place

I just can't get excited anymore.

It really would have to be:

-Mass Effect 2 expansion-type deal

-Jade Empire 2 (though I'm not particularly interested)

I've played some Dragon Age. Don't like it so much. If it was DA2, then ok cool. Not getting it though.

If its Old Republic related, I'll just be like 'ok, good'. Not surprised. Not even excited. Just glad more info is coming out.

Why so pessimistic? The appearance packs were a great addition. And only like $2 so who cares?
As for Bazaar, why get angry just because they had a contest for America only? What happens when Square Enix releases their games in Japan months in advance of the American or European release? What about when Japan gets the new PS3's before anyone else? Big deal. Thats life. It's not as if they said they weren't going to have a contest for the rest of the community. They postponed it.

As for the toggle-able helmets. This isn't Mass Effect 1. This is Mass 2. ALL armor customization and tweaking is done in the captains cabin. And it makes sense also. If you take off your helmet, where is it? Does it disappear and then reappear when you want it to? And I've heard about the "collapsable" helmets, but do you have any idea how many permutations of that they'd have to make for each helmet and torso pairing? Not to mention if new helmets or chest pieces come out.

Now in regards to the guns. How do you know that the guns included in DLC are supposed to be in game? We have too many guns in my opinion. Way too many. I'm hoping that that M5 pistol, and whatever other gun may come with it, are the last of the weapons in the game. I, and many other fans, would like to see some quality DLC like the armor pack that was just released yesterday, and the Overlord and Kasumi packs.

So stop complaining and be grateful that we're actually getting support for this game. My only worry is that I might not have enough hdd space to hold all of the DLC.

As a game owner I find it rather fuked up that I see this 'insider' info being posted on 3rd party websites.. I.E twitter...    fuking twitter...

Bioware has their own website, how about you post on it.:innocent:

They didn't announce anything yet. Back before ME2 came out, they utilized twitter to give heads up on lots of stuff before it came out. Whether it be interviews, videos, information, etc... I don't use twitter, but I don't see whats wrong with keeping tabs on their website.

Nah. If it's for ME2 it will be the next big DLC or expansion. Look at the ME2 DLC patarnd. Onem onth we get small DLC like weapon, guns and so on. The next month we get a big DLC pack. So if it is for ME2 it won't be that small.

Yeah, the pattern seems to be every other month. So with overlord in June, we should get the next DLC mission in August. But that's not to say that a second appearance pack can't come out around that time either. The appearance pack 1 came out the same day that Kasumi came out right? Or at least a day or 2 apart from what I remember.

Yeah Appearance Pack came out on the same day as Firewalker actually. Maybe this means new DLC is on Cerberus Network ha ha!
