Evening, I am playing through Mass Effect on Insanity, with a level 21 Vanguard, and using the squadmates Ashley and Kaiden (-_- I hate both of them but I need their achievments haha) and I can usually get to the 2nd/3rd wave but I just get destroyed.

I have tried to run to the platform to the right of where you encounter Benezia, but when I get to wave 2, Geth and Asari just spawn next to me complete demolishing me. Any tips would be greatly appreciated.

I actually run to the walkway behind Benezia. The enemies will spawn to your left and then to your far right. Concentrate on the enemies to the left first, odds are the enemies on the right will not advance on you.

ah cheers I'll try that, do you mean like the walk way opposite Benezia so you have the Rachni queen in between yourself and her, or do you mean the walkway on the opposite side of the room from where you enter?

Thanks again.

Walkway with the Rachni Queen between you and Benezia. Benezia can't fire at you then. :)

Cheers, I'll have a quick attempt at it tomorrow, got so frustrated today, just had to turn off my xbox and play guitar for about 5 hours haha.

This was like the only mission that caused me trouble on Hardcore, but I dunno how hard the Saren Boss Fight will be on Insanity, ahh well, I'll just kill out the side missions and level up before slapping his ass around the citadel

I think this might be one of the hardest fights in the game on Insanity. However, as a Vanguard, if you have a decent shotgun and some advanced biotic skills, you should have no trouble. Also take Pacifien's recommendation into account, and use your squadmates whenever possible. Ashley and Kaidan are both great and will fit in nearly all situations if you know how to use them

I think its just my positioning, I have got a lot better at using my squad throughout the Insanity playthough, I used to just be like bah squadmates do what you want, but I taken full control of them and its made the game easier. Kaiden is a useful squadmate, its good that he has sabotage an shield overload whilst having a range of biotics

Ashley is just annoying -_- I can't stand her
