Well... it's already been confirmed by EuroGamer that the game will take place outside of Ferelden.

I don't think there will be any "origins" to pick from. That was part of the first game but not necessarily part of this sequel

I really hope we still get a lot of customization-options. Or else much of the epic feeling of the first game will be lost!

I think the whole playing as a new hero thing is going to be pretty cool but does our actions in DA:O have any effect anything at all in DA:O2?

The first game was what it was. No one wants a rehash of the same old stuff. I trust Bioware completely to craft another epic RPG experience!!

What happens in Ferelden, stays in Ferelden. Or at least that's the philosophy I hope they're adopting with DA2. I don't think it would be helpful to have the storylines in this game be bound by decisions from the last game. A fresh start is probably the best.

I'm guessing that since Dragon Age 2 is more 'cinematic' the dialog/cinematics probably take a lot of work, like Mass Effect, so doing a huge number of origin stories is just not feasible, and since it takes place over 10 years, I'm guessing the game branches significantly, so instead of putting the effort into a range of origins, they've put it into a range of conclusions.

a decade huh..our char must be pretty healty..with all the threats around us...he has better chance then our old warden who can die in a day..let along a decade
