Anora's son/daughter........what... i would like to know Ferelden has a future...
Agree sort of, I'd rather they just say one of the royal offsprings. That would cover both Anora and the nobel who married Alistair. If I remember right, in one of the endings they talked about having help producing a heir, since they didn't think two wardens could have kids.

You should check out what the Dragon Age 2 website says about who you play.

August 17, marked my calendar, in case I don't check my e-mail. Until then, speculations run free.

And please, tell me this is more RPG than 1st person shooter. That was the main attraction for me. So this is going to be more like Mass Effect? Tell me I at least get to be a girl.

Now I wonder though, Why would I be a refugee and need to gather deadly allies? Why would my home be destroyed, what stopped me from being killed in the process, and why do I have to fight for my survival? And in the process I may become a revered champion? Mysteries Mysteries. I feel like a dark order is trying to kheel this new hero. But I know for certain there shall be a long bridge/highway in Dragon Age 2. This is for certain!

I'd love to keep the way you get to know your companions in camp and through conversations - I wasn't that big a fan of the Awakenings way of doing things..
And also, please keep the banter!!
Camp talk, humor and banter between companions while we were wondering around plus the ability for some friends were part of what I really liked about DA. When they do it right BioWare is the best at this and story, as far as I'm concerned.

I'll miss being able to choose my ethnic group and origin. I thought it was a great way to start a tutorial....

I have to admit that being a woman is the one thing I don't worry about with BioWare. I was very worried when ME 1 first made it's way on the boards and Chris said to have faith. I had a hard time keeping it, but he was right. I'll trust that they will always give us options.
edit - darn typing.

As for the loss of Origins... it's a pity, but it'll be fine if the character we play is made interesting enough and his/her past is integral to the story. I trust Bioware, they've never let me down yet.
Actually, from the description on the website, I'm getting a very Conan-esque vibe from this story. Anyone else see that?

Not having origins isn't that big a deal, either. The origins we got in DA:O covered most of the available race/class combinations there are in the setting, and since a big part of the origin stories was learning about the setting and your place in it, having origins again would be a bit of a retread. Much better to do something like having the game take place over 10 years - that's new and cool, and I'm sure in Bioware's hands it won't water down the story. I've actually been wanting to play a game with that concept for a while, so I'm looking forward to it.

*Blizzard was terrified by the response from its users and if the company
ever decides to attempt anything like it again*
Glad they saw reason and it didnt catch on, its a horrible idea/theory for gamer boards.

If there's going to be romance in the game, please, please, please don't make the sex-scenes so cringeworthy.
I'm not asking for full frontal, nor anything explicit, and I am sure the rigging and prohibits a lot of natural movement, but please - just make them less awkward-looking.
I also saw David G post around the forums already - hopefully he'll be writing characters again?
