To start a new characther is ok, expecialy if it's not a grey warden and the storyline varies from the darkspawn/blight line that could become really boring. But:
If the choices i made in dao make no difference in the sequel i would be disappointed
i would like a dlc or another expansion that clarifies the happenings in awakening and give an end (better if multiple) to my pc.
So far i am satisfied how your choiches bring on from me1 to me2, but in dao this is taking a bad route. If you remeber they promised us that our choiches would have effected the sequels and to keep our saves, but if it was only for awakening it would be rather disappointing, and also it would subctract a lot of replay value. In me2 i find myself to replay it again and again to have see how things would changes in me3 for every different choice i made, i would like something similar for dao.

Remember, the Grey Warden in DA:O would have had a VERY short lifespan due to the taint. I don't think it would be believable to have one warden go through two major "save the world" campaigns in a period of 30 years.

Dragon Age and Mass Effect series have been my all-time favourites from the start. Mainly because of the story. And one of the greatest features (for me) of Mass Effect 2 was that you could import your character along with all your choices and romances. As was already said before, continuity rocks! I was therefore very excited about the coming sequel to Dragon Age to continue my story with my Warden. And today I see an announcement about DA2 and let me tell you, I was so very disappointed when I read it... I love and own all of BioWare's games so far but why, WHY, such a decision? Couldn't there be at least an option to continue with the Warden (the other one being the start of a new character)? I REALLY want to continue the Warden's story, I just cannot bring myself to it that the story just ended that way.:crying:

I dont will be sad if don't see my character again but I want a proper ending for my warden, my warden left to look for Morrigan and the baby, I want to know what happened to them, If Morrigan reappear in DA2 I want a explanation about what happened with the warden, I don't accept a generic story where Bioware tell us that the warden did the DR, not all my wardens did it.... if they do something similar i will be very dissapointed.

Bioware could close wardens stories in awakening but they left it open, I want (and hope) that it be for a good reason and they give a proper ending to DAO

I vote Warden for party member in DA2.

Also, Anders. And Leliana.

DA : 1 : Spolers

Start

Yeah I chose to execute the queens father, say no to Morigan and to die in place of Alistair ending, but my ending had Morigan promising to return and that she would see her old friend again of that she was sure.

So did morigan just have one wine too many at the after party or what? Would love to know.

But as many people have said, we don't have alot of info on this yet, but theres no harm in speculating so long as we are all nice about it.

Well, I think the Warden's probably done for.

However...

Avernus's research (even if you don't use it, the story suggests its possible...and hey you can always break down the stupid locked door and take a swig later) and blood magic sort of free you from the constraint of dying at 30.  In other words you don't have to imagine yourself a typical Warden.

<_<... You die forty years after taking in the taint, and if it's thirty years from when you took the taint to when you're Hawke, and Hawke's story is ten years long, then they have room to give your warden a proper death.

The devs say that we can import our save from DA:O. But what about Awakening? Can we import this save too, or is being ignored?

Any hints on the return of the warden in the future?

I believe they said Awakening saves can be uploaded, too.  I don't know where they said it at.  Maybe the IGN preview.

I think the warden would still be alive during DA2. I mean you'd be probably in your 30's considering you're probably were around 20 or a little younger than that. Duncan lived for awhile probably was about 50 when he died. And it's a guess as to how long you'd live it's never an exact science lol.
