Well personally I like to make my own unique character. But about that dominate thing. That could work well. Kind of also like using the Jedi Mind tricks in Star Wars the knights of the old republic.  With blood magic I'd like to use it to control peoples minds to make them do what I want. And I wonder if shapeshifting could be used to take human form as a sort of trickery. Might be asking a bit much for that though, but still would be interesting. Though shapeshifting does need a lot of improvement if it's going to be in Dragon Age 2.

I like having a lot of control over how my character looks too, but I think there's far too much emphasis on these boards over a detail like this which really shouldn't matter all that much. There have been lots of RPG's done with set characters, so it has nothing to do with how good the game will be. Yeah, it's nice, but it's not a big deal IMO.

And I'm really adamant about extra dialogue options based on class. A blood mage should get extra dialogue options to control or manipulate people. Likewise, it would be fun to see different dialogue options if you play as a templar and are talking to a mage. Stuff like that really adds a lot.

DA:O already had lots of dialogue options specific to class and origin. I can't believe they'd lose those now. What it didn't have was a very versatile character creator. I think there are many of us who started and re-started an origin because the way the character looked in the dungeon of the creator and actually looked in-game were vastly different.

If
DA2 would even let us customize the character...I hope it will. Mass
Effect's character creation's pretty impressive so I hope they do
something like that.

So U think MEs' character creaction
is pretty impressive... Then you should check this out !!!

Now
that's impressive !!!!

Let me rephrase it then...

If
DA2 would even let us customize the character...I hope it will. APB's character creation's pretty impressive so I hope they do something like that.

I want more armor/costume options for mages. Cloaks and capes with hoods etc. All the mage gear in DA:O was pretty fugly IMO. It would be cool if they could have touches like hair blowing in the wind and such but I'm not sure what the tech details on making that work would be like.

So. Developers seem to be popping in and out of the forums recently. Any chance one of them would be so kind as to allay our concerns?

I definitely believe that the character customization needs to be improved, especially since everybody who owns the game will be playing as Hawke in DA2.

I thought the face tattoo's you could choose from in DA: Origins were really lame, I'd much rather choose facial scars to give that "hardcore warrior" look to the character if wanted.

I think we should also be able to choose the height and build of the character.

I just want better looking beards, and ones that don't look like my character is wearing a fake beard.  Also, I wouldn't mind the option of giving my character blue or green hair.

i think the thing that i was disappointed most about the DA CC is the fact that i saw loads of art of the dalish elves and mages and dwarfs and all i could think of was making my characters as awesome as those pictures...but when i got the CC i couldn't even get close, not Even the tattoo was as awesome.
and i also agree with the complaints of the ME CC, i could never get a character that looked like he could shoot a gun at somebody without them laughing...they also seemed to horde all the best features for their Shep Image IPB, the dragon age CC was better but with a lot of room for improvement...it let me quite easily create decent looking characters but not awesome looking. so i think more options have to be implemented...and FIX.THE.BEARDS. Having played in APBs closed beta before the game was released, if Dragon Age 2 had a customization engine even remotely like this I would cream my pants. Still, I didnt mind DA:O's customization, just spend some time adding more hair, tattoo's and scars please. I doubt they'll make the body customizable, but, meh.

If they actually had curly hair for men and women for once that would be nice.

Mass Effect's character (or rather, face) creator was impressive because the character also had to be fully voiced.

Since we can only play a human, I'm hoping that means a greater level of variety and detail in the character creator. But still, I don't think anything will ever beat APB-I mean, HOLY CRAP!!!!

That is impressive, it would be great with DA2 had that level of character customisation with Hawke, but somehow I don't think it will Image IPB

Wow! That APB character creation is incredible. I doubt DA2's will be that detailed but one can always hope right?

Well now that you can only be human, I would think that the character creator will be better and more focused.

I liked the DA:O character creator, but it could be better..
I mean they should have add more tattoos, hairs. The tattoos for humans were pretty weak and I'd like if u could add tattoos on different part of your body, not only your face(I know that your character is not nuked often, but c'mon)..
Making your character muscular/fat/skinny would be nice like adjustable height.=]

I think DA:O has a slightly better character creator, but I wasn't particularly in love with any of the features for the male human faces. I would appreciate more variety.

Speaking of the CC, think we'll get it early for dl like we did the DA CC? Because I'd be all for that.

I'd be happy if they just added in the character code system from ME2.

This was nice.   Even when I just stuck in numbers I would some up with something I could work with.  But more hair choices would be nice.
