How about fros?
I would feel compelled to make a mandatory black-skinned character playthrough, for the sake of the afro.

I hope they have the marketing Hawke as a default like Shepard for Mass Effect. DAO didn't have the guy from the trailer.

I hope for scars and more tattoos. And make them both stackable.
Seconded.

And a mohawk. Hawke needs a 'hawk.

But, unlike Sheploo make the default editable so we can tweak it to our tastes.

If DA2 would even let us customize the character...I hope it will. Mass Effect's character creation's pretty impressive so I hope they do something like that.
So U think MEs' character creaction is pretty impressive... Then you should check this out !!!

Now that's impressive !!!!
WOW, if its anything like that, I'm totally going to overlook everything. I like creating characters, and I thought Oblivion's character creator was pretty impressive. I like making one look like me, and then seeing myself in the story. The only thing I hate is that they never let you pick a height. I mean not everyone in the world is 6'' lol.

Body size

I bet that would be hard to do though. I'd love it as well, but customizing body size would probably put a lot of strain on the programs in terms of animations. I could be wrong though; maybe it isn't as hard as I think.

I liked the DA:O character creator, but it could be better..
I mean they should have add more tattoos, hairs. The tattoos for humans were pretty weak..
Making your character muscular/fat/skinny would be nice like adjustable height.
Yeah, but that only human playable thing doesnt really bothers me. I've played as a human all the time , but I understand that others loved other races as well. Anyway I do belive that we'll get an excellent (starting) story in exchange.

Which then leads me to the fact that the Sims 2 came with a seperate CC program entirely. Even if it won't fit on the disc they can make it a free DLC add-on.
and I wish I didn't hate MMO's so much now that I've seen that... crap.

I would like to ask for a better lighting in character creator. Seems like everytime we create a character it takes place in some dark and underlit dungeon where I can't see the eye colour and skin tone clearly.
Many times I choose what I think is a slightly tanned skintone and then find out my char is very fairskinned when my PC steps in some sunlit area or I pick a fair skintone and discover the PC is in fact white as a sheet
This. For the love of god, this.
Also a wider variety of beards, and hair. (A short hair that actually looks good isn't that hard to do, is it?)
I would also like to be able to have a beard without my cheeks beeing as deep as a lake. I frankly found it really irritating!
Otherwise I didn't have much problem with DA:O character
creator, except for the small range of variation. Keep up the good work, BW!

i was wondering why not create a tool with wich upload a photo and the be processed into your face it shouldn't be that hard
Facial recognition software that builds, renders, and textures a 3D model out of a 2D image shouldn't be hard?

Hard? No. But "much bigger range" takes time to build and costs money, and since they're trying to make complete game it requires spreading resources around to make all these things needed to get it done.JakePT wrote...
Surely it's not hard to have a much bigger range of hair/beards/skin/eyes/noses etc?
It's normal the players would like "much more" of everything. But the game is supposed to launch pretty soon, so i wouldn't count on getting that.

1. A bar to change the lighting so we can see our characters under different lighting conditions.
2. Greater customisation (liked the APB video), being able to change body parts size and shape
3. I would like to be able to put a scar across my characters eye and have that eye look different due to the damage.

If only Bioware had a similar character creator for the Dragon Age series.
