I wouldn't mind the Blight if the leader was A hurlock or something instead of a lame dragon.

but...the blight is so fun...what other threat can bring different races together in hopes they won't be anihilated

Demon war, Imperium going land hungry, Exalted March, anything but another blight.

I don't have a link, but ages ago David Gaider posted something like "if we do a sequel, it would be a case of N.A.B (Not Another Blight.)"
The NAB bit always stuck in my mind, hence why I remembered it.

Why do you even need a game about a threat bringing different races together in hopes they won't be annihilated? However, this is BioWare we're talking about, and making heroic, "epic" RPG's is what they do and they aren't going to change. Still though, I'd love to see something completely different from Origins.

Thank God, the darkspawn were very dull as foes. Demons or the qunari are far, far more interesting. Since the Dragon Age IP has been established and it has a fanbase now, I'm hoping it means that BioWare are going to experiment with some riskier ideas this time - I'm not holding my breath for that though.

Seems like we play a survivor of a bligh, And if the blight is over, well then it should be a few years before it returns thank god

It's too soon for another blight really. Since it's called "Dragon Age 2" I would imagine it's set in the same 100 year "Dragon" age as the last game. It takes the darkspawn longer than that to find an archdemon.

Not to worry, it won't be a Blight.

I haven't really read enough about the game to know exactly what's going down this time around. All I know is we won't be seeing our character return which is kind of a bummer but I can live with that.
I don't think Grey Wardens are involved either, that threw me off...I thought DA was all about Grey Wardens and darkspawn. From what I remember from the demo the darkspawn are still around. You'd think the Grey Wardens would be a huge part of the game.
It's all about the "Champion". Well that's fine...I'm guessing Hawke is a specialized warrior and won't use sub classes like Reaver or Berserker. Or do they mean Champion in another way?
No Wardens, no blight, I'm guessing no Archdemon. Uh, what we doing in this game? Don't get me wrong, I"m excited for DA2, I just have no idea what direction this game is going. I would not have minded another blight though.

Champion is a title.
How being the Champion of Kirkwall is more important than the Last Warden and ender of the blight is beyond me.
