Great Dragon Age 2 has just been announced and now here comes the fun part, scanning any piece of content related to Dragon Age 2 we can find for clues.

Now from what I can see of the front page it seems our hero is holding a speak like weapon, is this a hint at new weapon types for Dragon Age 2?

Also as a lot of people have pointed out it lloks like our heroes right hand is a claw, while this could actually be a gauntlet if you look at the hand on the game informer cover the hand does look a lot more like a claw, could this possibly be hinting that your character isnt entirely normal?

Now perhaps some of you will remember Arl Foreshadow from the mages tower summoning quest, if you pickpocet him before he disapears you get a note which some think are clues to the plot of Dragon Age 2. If we look at the note we see,

Books to pursue for future endeavors.
Lost countenance: Ferelden to Orlesian Phrase Book
-Must not offend the potential landlords

Possible hint that Dragon Age 2 is set in Orlais?

Raising Spirits: Offsprings and the Fade
-Terrible two's indeed!

Not quite sure but from what I can see this could be a reference to Morrigans child and that he/she may have a strong connection to the fade.

Forest Fall: Truth and Legend in the Search for Arlathan
-Survivors? poppycock!

Plot could possibly involve a dead elven city?

The Origin of Theses: Knowing more than Everyone without Looking Like a Jackass
-Never get the time to read this. Maybe there's a stage play?

Most likely a joke about Arl Foreshadow's ability to see the future.



I know a lot of this information is iffy at best but at the moment it is all we have to go on, but that being said what clues can you find in relation to Dragon Age 2?

Arl Foreshadow was all about tipping-off Awakening. Orlesean Warden, The Mother, Father, and Children, Re-entry into the Fade, and most likely Velanna's original concept before it was changed during production.

But that doesn't really tell us anything. To me if we don't get to keep going with our Origin story I will be really disappointed.

While there are multiple races in the game, like elves, dwarves, etc, in Dragon Age 2 you play a human character.

I would say no. However Priestly let slip a little more information than was probably intended and confirmed that you are Morrigans child as well.

Also this was posted in another thread but I think it is pretty cool

Also it seems like a minor detail but it lloks like out hero is left handed (although the mage in the concept art is right handed).



Also I must say I am loving this new character, my main character is usually a human demon hybrid and he usually has a claw for a hand so I guess this Hawke fellow will suit my style perfectly (except for the name but I guess I can work with it).
