Whine more, it seems like nobody has faith for Bioware anymore.
valid complaints are not whining-
i lost faith in bioware when they released mass effect 2,
the move to action for me2 was just about the games only strong point. it seems to me that bethseda is going no where but up, bioware down.

So you liked the action change? What didn't you like about ME2, then, and are you worried that Bio will do the same thing in DA2?

Good. That way you can complain on the Bethesda forums about how Fallout: New Vegas isn't like Fallout 1 and 2 anymore, and that Fallout 3 was just Elder Scrolls: Oblivion with guns.Bluto Blutarskyx wrote...

I agree.
Our origins had to many endings. To many nuances laced into them. Give me a shiny new toy to get obsessed over. It is not like the origins were all that deep to begin with. They pretty much lost any momentum in Ostagar. About as deep as a kiddie pool.

What? Pre-determined char?
Seems they will take the Mass Effect path then? If there is a pre-determined main character, it's probably reasoned by the constant whine for voiced heroes. Shame. Not a bit, totally.
Well, I love the ME series, but I also found it great that in Dragon Age I can build up my character's personality any way I wanted. That was a trademark of the old RPGs, and it was also a trademark for DA:O.
Shame, changing the fundamentals in favor of some whiny uneducated who can't read a line so they must hear it.
But anyways, I will look out for it, as I did with all BioWare products.
And it may proves to be a mislead, we will see.

"OOO YOU PLAY AS BEARDED MEN, BIOWARE I AM DISSAPOINT"
Well, I'm sure the game will have something to do with Tevinter, since those dudes worship dragons... I'm guessing the game will be more focused on Dragons this time.
Dragons.

This. I'm still of a positive mindset since I can see the advantages in story-telling, but if it becomes a short, customization-light, inventory-less, action-heavy, neutered RPG like ME2, I'll walk into the sunset and leave BioWare behind me with a manly tear in my eye.CarlSpackler wrote...
People always freak out over the smallest of changes. Including myself. I think what has many of us worried however is that the ME template is going to become the Bioware standard. While I enjoy the ME games for what they are, the last thing I wanted was a DA game that follows the ME rule for making rpgs. (Fixed, full vo'd char, lighter rpg mechanics, etc.)
As I said earlier its a little early to jump straight to that conclusion, but when that's your fear, and you see little things pointing that direction, its hard for me anyways not to head off to races.

As long as the gender choice remains, than good. But it would have been nice to have a race choice, playing as an elf was great and gave such a change from the usual human character.
Really enjoyed playing as my first character, a female city elf.
As good as the Mass Effect series is, I hope the Dragon Age idea won't turn into a general hack and slash with no strategy and RPG elements just to cater to those who's idea of an RPG is one that fires rockets and who tend to struggle when it comes to thinking their way through a battle instead of running in and killing everything with no plan of attack.

So by looks of it, if this is true, going to be forced to play a male char? not good.
Nahh, I am fairly sure u can play as female
Hawke is a last name. You can be female.
Phew! My heart sank when I saw that second name. I don't care what other changes are made, as long as my character can be female! After playing Leliana's Song I realised how much I missed having a voiced character. Dragon Age with more of that will be great! (If that's what happens that is!)
