I don't believe in any god or any religion, but I don't mind they use a little in DA2
Religion is basically a system of beliefs. Everyone has their own religion even those that state otherwise. Religion doesn't necessarily have to be about believing in a god or gods. Religion is about how you live your life and the way you live life by. People normally have codes they live by and thus they have their own religion. Everything is a religion. Religion simply means "Way one lives by".

One thing that fascinates me about the theology of Thedas is the existence of what we would call "supernatural," such as the Fade, spirits, and magic in general. Of course, in Thedas, those are all natural. The reason it interests me is that in our world, many atheists appeal to the absurd to dismiss religion in general without ever giving it much of a chance. They'll point to the burning bush, the plagues in Egypt, or other miracles and say, "You expect me, a thinking person, to believe that?" In Thedas, I think the arguments are a lot more honest, and they have to be. I see it as a good thing.
Issac Newton believed in God and he was a great thinking person, some say the best that ever was. So I disagree with people who say what I made into italic.

The chantry people boring as hell. Make them like the Taliban or something. You know, exciting?
they are like the taliban.. you have the templars and ****** them off enough and you have an exalted march and conversion at the point of a sword
Not really. They didn't make a exalted march on the Drawfs unless you bring the Chantry to them in which case Bro Burka is cut down in a peaceful demonstration and then the Chantry declared an exalted march. In DA2, if the Chantry has been brought down - then Templars may be few in number but perhaps more violent towards non-believers of all kinds. A Dragon Age RTS would be very interesting, especially one where you can build up your own empire and send Templars to torture heathens in their villages into becoming Andratians/Makerians (Or whatever).
