Just wondering if there is a rough time line set out for DA2, and also if there will be a direct link between the actions of the Warden in DA:O (and the companions) and this game, or if it is merely misc backstory to it.

I'm guessing the majority of DA2's plot happens after the events of DA:O, but not too long after. Bioware will want to keep as much of the Dragon Age free for future stories, it wouldn't make sense to set this at the end of the Age, it would just restrict their options. Not by too much, as they could still write prequels or set their stories in different parts of Thedas, but still... it would mean they couldn't decide to write a cataclysmic world-changing event in a future plot, for example.

Ummm... this thread was made back when Dragon Age II was recently announced. Sorry. Actually makes me realize how quickly they made Dragon Age II considering it was still new news only a year ago. Only just noticed it since the forums been so full of the lets find a 1000 different ways to bash DA2 and blow smoke up Origins behind threads lol, Not that I'm saying Origins was awful but its nowhere near as good as so many claim since nothing revoloutionary was in it that had not already been done before.
