I don't care that Hawke is human! I still want a Dwarf love interest!

This would probably be a waste of resources. Why bother writing all that extra dialogue and having it voiced if only a fraction of the player-base will explore it? Gaider explained this type of thinking before.

Bad idea.

People have had their humans. They've had their elves. They've had turians, drell, asari, and quarian. They've had warriors, rogues, mages. They've had assassins, soldiers, defected police officers. Quite literally everything they've expressed an interest in.

There's no reason why we can't have our dwarf LI.

Same reason why people wouldn't romance an elf? Or a human?

.. or maybe you just hate dwarves?

The same reason they did it for the LIs in DA:O and ME?

*is baffled by this way of thinking*

What part are you not understanding?

Dwarves aren't as aesthetically pleasing to the general public as characters with human proportions.  Some people may be interested in it, but I doubt the majority would be.

It's not like they go bankrupt if some choose not to romance elves, aliens, etc right... Some don't romance at all, but they will still play the game anyway... Nobody will shove the romance down your throat, it's your destiny after all...

Aliens aren't aesthetically pleasing to the general public either. Again, we have ME2.

It is time and money that could be spent on improving the game in other areas, which will be used by a greater percentage of the player-base.  This is really simple stuff here guys.  Wow.

Methinks they hate dwarves.

As mentioned above, Garrus isn't even close to human proportions and he's well loved by the community.

Not everyone find drell or turians attractive, either.

That's also an opinion. Most of my male friends absolutely adored both Dagna and Sigrun. I even have a few who liked Jarvia. Very nearly every female I know who played Lady Aeducan fell top over tail for Gorim. It's not a matter of their being a dwarf. It's a matter of their being interesting with an attractive personality and a compelling story.

Why it's perfectly fine to romance a giant green cockroach man or a scaly kitty lizard or a grey alien chick in a Snoopy helmet who gets diseased when you do her or a blue lady with meat hair, but not a dwarf...

God forbid people like the LIs for their personalities before their looks.

(I'm not hating on the ME LIs, just pointing out that they look infinitely weirder than dwarves)

Actually, yes it does. You're saying a character that doesn't have human proportions won't be pleasing to the public, yet Garrus is one of the most popular romance interests in Mass Effect 2 and he's everything but human.

Exception, not the rule.  I don't claim dwarves can't be attractive.  I am saying they don't have the same appeal as a human/elf, or even qunari.  So bioware's development efforts would be better spent elsewhere.

Short characters are so unpopular and unappealing, they only included 3 versions of them in WoW.
