Exception, not the rule.  I don't claim dwarves can't be attractive.  I am saying they don't have the same appeal as a human/elf, or even qunari.  So bioware's development efforts would be better spent elsewhere.

Then you better go tell those bajillions of Garrus fans that they were wasted development money and that we could've had another generic human romance instead.

Why do you always argue with me?  Can't you agree with me just once?  :P

Nothing wrong with dwarves. At least they are very close to human, like elves. If they have realistic arm length proportion in DA2, they will look human. Unlike, Liara, Thane, Garrus, and especially Tali.

Exactly!

That doesn't explain Aimo's many fans of Sorsha Aeducan though... and Pornzammar... and Varric thread. There's demand there's money.

I agree that I always argue with you.

Does that satisfy your need to be agreed with?

As mentioned above, Garrus isn't even close to human proportions and he's well loved by the community.

That doesn't invalidate my point however.

Actually, yes it does. You're saying a character that doesn't have human proportions won't be pleasing to the public, yet Garrus is one of the most popular romance interests in Mass Effect 2 and he's everything but human.

Yup he is far from human the Asari Drell and Quarians look human imo :?.

Utterly irrelevant to my point. If they thought as you do, they could of spent the development time putting in High Elves, Pandaren, or any other non short races instead of putting in races apparently only a minorty find astheticley pleasing.

Gaider said the same thing I wrote in this thread in respect to the idea of more homosexual romance options in DA2. The reasoning is sound.

What?  It's completely relevant when we're talking about LIs.  That doesn't factor into race choice at all in WoW.

And yet in DA:O they had two bisexual characters. Having one (which is quite literally all we'd need to be sated) is not the same as complete denial.

Dragon Age is unique in that it has female dwarves that are not only adorable, but damn hot.

It's a good thing I wasn't talking about romance options, though. I'm taking issue with this.

Dwarves aren't as aesthetically pleasing to the general public as characters with human proportions.  Some people may be interested in it, but I doubt the majority would be.

Which is completely untrue.

Speaking of Sigrun, looking at yukidama, I always imagine her voice sounding like Sigrun's. :D

A year ago I would have thought this idea was preposterous.  And then there was Gorim...  I still can't say for certain I would definitely enjoy it, but I darn sure wouldn't turn my nose up at by default as I would have not so long ago.  It would depend on personality I guess, but I would be interested enough to consider it.

THIS. Just this.

Besides, one dwarf would be enough. We're not greedy. (although we won't mind a Bonus for Awakening... teehee)

I know what this thread is about, thanks. And I honestly don't give two craps if it was used as a reply or not. It's as blanket as any statement can get.

And I'm pretty sure plenty of people would romance a WoW Gnome or Dwarf if they had the chance.

I was not into dwarves when I first started DAO. Yeah, I played a dwarf noble first. It was like "eww wut" when Gorim first started talking (being a n00b at the time, I was biased towards elves). But after the Origins quest I realised I really liked Gorim. It's the charm. And my heart broke when I heard he can no longer fight and that he was married... Then later on, there was Sigrun :sighs::wub: I guess it's personality you know. Most people have elf fetish but many can't stand Velanna's antics.

Haha, really?

Admittedly, it amuses that I am so pro-dwarf now, a couple months ago I was indifferent/didn't like them much until I finally played them and was all <3. Even then I still think it is dumb to want to deny a group of people something that can be reasonably provided because I dislike it. ^_^
