"Embark upon an all-new adventure that takes place across an entire decade and shapes itself around every decision you make"
The rebellion against Orlais took place over several years.
"Determine your rise to power from a destitute refugee to the revered champion of the land."
Loghain was a refugee until he joined up with Maric and became one of Maric's General's and eventually the Hero of the River Dane. (Becoming the Teryn of Gwaren despite being a Commoner)
"Think like a general and fight like a Spartan with dynamic new combat mechanics that put you right in the heart of battle whether you are a mage, rogue, or warrior."
This part fits until you get to the "mage, rogue or warrior" part.
Even if you don't technically play Loghain there's sure a lot of parallels it seems. also SPEEAAAARSSSS.
Sounds like you play as Loghain during the events of The Stolen Throne

At the end of DA2, you see old Hawke that looks exactly like Loghain change his name to Loghain and open up a time portal, under the influence of Flemeth, starting the events of DA:O.

That's right, the ending the reviews are talking about is a big reveal that you're actually Loghain time-traveling (and cross-dressing if your Hawke is female) so he can cause trouble in Kirkwall while the adult Loghain causes civil war in Ferelden. You figured it out.

Don't judge him. He's the Hero of the River Dane, he can wear a skirt if he damn well wants without your say in the matter.

...Loghain wasn't a refugee. Read the book again.
Still, this amused me.
