The clothing she styles in the concept art looks like a cross of morrigans robes, mashed together with  regular mage robe, but a bit more free-flowy. I was hoping for Morrigan, but I think it is the daughter now, and maybe it's true Morrigan did pull a Flemeth on her daughter.

Maybe they're both Morrigan's children? Who says that Morrigan couldn't be having kids? I mean, look at this image. The dragon is totally behind the girl, so it can't be Morrigan herself unless Morrigan put her soul into the daughter.

That was one of the secondary motivations for acquiring Flemeth's Grimoire

Why does she need to have high heels to fight and adventure? Ugh. ****ing amazing art apart from that.

"Rise to Power...By Any Means Necessary"

Sounds like something Morrigan's kid would do.

I'd bet money on Morrigan... she's got cool claw gauntlets... but so does Hawke.

Plus I don't think anyone would appreciate being able to romance her again... best excuse is Hawke is her child.

So the cover to me looks like Morrigan and the grey warden's son.

I sighed when I noticed the heels as well.

And about Morrigan: it could just as well be Flemeth come back. Morrigan herself mentioned that she wasn't sure if her mother could be "killed". We don't know how the ritual of changing bodies works so it is possible Morrigan wasn't Morrigan at the end of Origins. Lots of ways to twist it when it comes to her.

I just hope we will know if the dragon lady or Hawke have anything to do with Morrigan when the trailer comes out.

Omg, How can it be Morrigan's Children if Hawke is a blight survivor? They couldn't even be born during the blight.

Based on the time frame, out of those two choices I would go with Morrigan, unless god children age stupidly fast or something.

Why, she'd be the same age as Hawke. Her age is indeterminate from the art released so far. White hair does not necessarily indicate age.

Technically the Archdemon DID survive the blight. It's a play on words and the kind of stuff i'd expect from Bioware. The game also takes place over a decade, so he probably starts quite young.

And they aren't going to flat out tell you you are the OGB. That'd be stupid. You find out through the plot.

Besides, the official DA2 page, where it shows Hawke standing... the dragon in the appears to be the shadow he's casting.

Sure it does. This isn't anime.

Besides, she really DOES look old in the close-up. Almost like Wynne.

She does not look young. She actually looks like Wynne. She has Yellow eyes.

I'm saying it's Morrigan.

And Hawke... OGB. The more I think about it the more sense it makes.

So, what you're saying is that the Game Informer cover art depicts Hawke killing things in front of his mother?

Morrigan approves? ;)

A magic user having naturally white hair is not exactly a stretch.

The white hair though make me lean towards it being someone older. But I could be wrong :) There's a real Flemeth/Morrigan vibe though, especially if you look at the image on the Dragon Age 2 site, where have we seen such yellow eyes before?

Though i'd be expecting the half-dragon'ish lady would be the love interest of the main char. :)

Whoever she is, I hope she's not the main villain.

All of Bioware's female villains have been fairly crap, and whilst I would like a decent female villain from Bioware, I'd rather them play it safe.

Spot on Vicious.

Morrigan said that DR would allow the Uthemiel to be reborn in her child's body. If Hawke is indeed Uthemiel reborn, that would make him the survivor of the Blight, but not in the way people asume. It's his soul that survived the blight and the destruction of the Archdemon.

Also, Morrigan is a shapeshifter so her changing into a dragon isn't at all unlikely. Flemeth could pull that off in Origins so why not Morri? It could also be that carrying the child with the soul of an Old God caused physical changes in Morrigan, which would explain the claws and the horns.

Devs confirmed in another thread that Hawke is not Morrigan's child.

I'm half expecting Flemeth to have possessed Morrigan's baby. It was all planned.

^ Oh good. It would be fun seeing Morrigan again but I wouldn't want to be shelved into having to play something from an ending I may or may not have gone with and is all difficult for me to wrap my mind around in the first place... It'd be all bitter tasting.

Ignoring of course based on the previous game I'm sure the PC will be transfixed into being some mind numbing morally shattered atrocity, I guess it was just obnoxious if it were from the get go.

If not in DA2, I expect to see Morrigan's child somewhere down the line in the DA universe.
