Morrigan never conceived a child with "The Warden". She conceived a child with Alistair. XP

So the god-child will make awkward jokes, then? ^_^

OOOOOOOOOOOOHhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhh. I just noticed something! disregard me saying that the 'horns' were hair accessories. If you look at the whole image, dragon and all, then you'll notice that the dragon's little (big) horn-like protrusions stand out from the rest of the dragon just a tad bit. In addition, they are in the same general location and are shaped the same way as the mystery woman's hair/horns.

there will be NO Godchild In DA2 dunno why everyone thinks it will be in DA2

unless the child is fast growing and aging (wich i do not expect) the child would be only 10 years of age at the end of DA2

and the white haired lady in the concept isn't Morrigan

it will be 1- a new character

2- Wynne (since BW have said it would be a shock if we find out who it is and finding out it would be Wynne would be a Major Shock)

3- Flemeth (would be logical since Morrigan tells you that you're not really killing her and it might be possible for het to get her power back )

iam inclined to go for Flemeth It seems obvious that Morrigan will also return to DA2 maybe to finish off Flemeth for good

She has Flemeth's grimoire so she should be able to protect herself from Flemeth

yea...i hope in DA2 they tell us the fate of Morigan and her child. (children). Even if u refuse to do the ritual she says before she leaves she will do what she has to do. She leaves beofre the final battle but what else did she do? As a shapeshifter she could disguise herself as whoever and still get what she wants. She said that Hawke's storyline is ten years but it did not really say how long after the events of DA1. Sure it could have been any kid in Lothering but it would be nice if they could connect the Warden more directly with the new Hero. They could make it like DA: Awakening where the player had the option that the kid is a complete original character or as in DA: Awakening and Mass Effect 2 let the player port their character and the Hero is either the son or daughter of so-and-so or something like that.

i guess the story of the child will not continue in DA2, maybe there will be something towards the end of DA2

but it will be more something that leads in to DA3 that probably will feature Morrigan and the wardens Child

Well, if the theory that Morrigan and Alistair are half siblings are true, than the OGB will be named something along the lines of Mordred and will eventually come back to Fereldan and kill King Ar-Alistair

Wizard did it.

Also, it's a classic ruse to make it seem as if; yeah, this definitely isn't going to happen. There is no way to end this speculation until it is confirmed with ones own moist eye balls.

Still, in the light of this new information, I withdraw my speculation that the woman in picture would be Morrigan. Oh no, there is no way they would place her in the spotlight like that, right? Instead she will sneak into the story... silently, and strike when you least expect it. :bandit:

Possible, but it seems like a step down from original godly power/conquer the world to just rule Ferelden that stinks of wet dogs. It could work as the god-childs first test project before continuing to conquer the world, etc.

Most likely the women is a reincarnated Flemeth I'd say.

Morrigan tells you she can't change into an other human/elf/dwarf so that theory wont fly

storyline is ten years but it did not really say how long after the events of DA

BW has said DA2 begins  at the battle at Denerim

According to the GI article Flemeth is in the game, but the first words out of her mouth are the first words out of Morrigan's mouth in DAO! Maybe Morrigan took up Flemeth's mantle?

BioWare devs already said that it wasnt Morrigan or the god child. So it has to be Flemeth.

Link? Or at least point people in right direction?

Good collection. ^_^

Though, I didn't see anything about the identity of the woman with a dragon arm in concept art, so it is not necessarily Flemeth.

Here’s my theory:

The dragonlady is the spirits of both Flemeth and Morrigan innside Morrigans body. This happened when Flemeth tried to take over Morrigans body as were her plan, but Morrigan somehow was able to resist. The result was the two of them locked innside Morrigans body, fighting for control. (If BW wants to canonize the Dark Ritual then you can throw in the OGB as well.)

She will be a possible companion, but she will not be anywhere near as strong as the old Flemeth, or Morrigan at the end of Origins, due to the ongoing struggle for control. Her personal quest will be helping one of the two gain complete control of the body – you have to choose sides.

She will have som interesting conversations where you are not sure who you are talking to, and both might try to deceive you into thinking you are talking to the other. Somtimes she will change in the middle of conversation.

The possibilities are endless…

This is at least what I would do were it my call…

Right i guess it's flemeth now also, she didn't "Die" as she isn't no longer human as many may remember that she was overcome by a demon/spirit thing which kept her alive forever but the body she enhabited decayed, so she had to make up her disgusting plan to keep self-replenishing from the spirit/demon to keep alive/existant

And to answer the question which only a few have asked about veranna or whtevr her name was, i doubt she would be in it however she did disappear at the end of DA awakening creating the opening chance for her to be in DA2

The white hair though make me lean towards it being someone older. But I could be wrong :) There's a real Flemeth/Morrigan vibe though, especially if you look at the image on the Dragon Age 2 site, where have we seen such yellow eyes before?

False. In the Game Informer article, they explicitly said that the Champion of Kirwall (Hawke) was a Lothering native who fled north to the Free Marches before his town was overrun. As such, DA2 begins just after the loss at Ostagar.

I guess the creators of DA2 wanted a new start as i have read on another forum that DA2 starts 1/2 way through the actual Dragon age era. This meaning that your warden could be dead due to the taint overcoming him/her or died of some other thing. Also Hawke can be girl / boy which is confusing :P

Also Flemeth was mentioned of making an appearence in DA2 so this would be a game to be interested in :D

Also the release date is set for around about March 2011 for all platforms.

She does not look young. She actually looks like Wynne. She has Yellow eyes.

I'm saying it's Morrigan.

And Hawke... OGB. The more I think about it the more sense it makes.
