Hawke the Dork is in fact Duncan. Who else would you expect to be in DA2? Morrigan's child indeed.

Please please give us a dlc that can put a final closure of some sort to the story of our Warden from Origins.
While I cannot be more excited about DA2, but it just doesn't seem right to leave the Origin's Warden hanging like that.
Something to end his story...even if it's just a dlc about him/her going to their calling.

This is what I'm hoping for.  I really enjoyed the Leliana DLC, and I see no reason why there couldn't be more DLC resolving any open storylines that might sill be left from the Origins OC.  Namely, closure with Morrigan.

Just because Hawke isn't the god baby, doesn't mean that it can't be part of this story (unless possible future DLC says otherwise).  Personally I think it would be just as awesome to have taken part in creating the worlds destroyer instead of it's savior. B)

I'm pretty excited for this game. I fell in love with the lore and world of DA rather then my character specifically. Personally I don't much mind the lack of closure for the Warden. Honestly there are only so many ways that the story can end and all of them involve death. He played his part in the grand scheme of things. Origins wasn't the birth of a character. It was the birth of a wide world with many inhabitants, political powers, evil things etc etc.

I would find a plain and simple continuation of my wardens story to be rather... boring. He already killed the Archdemon, the source of humanity's greatest threat. The blight before that was 400(been awhile) years so, so of course it would be kind of... simple and boring plot wise for "Woah.... another blight is starting! Holy darkspawn batman!" Essentially, I would like to see other areas of the world and not having a plot driven by a blight that is more or less isolated to a single chunk of the world opens up the possibilities for both Bioware and us as players to experience new locales and cultures. I found Ferelden to be an amazing place to explore and would indeed be quite disappointed if at least a part of the next game wasn't set in/involved it in some way. However that doesn't mean that I want to live out the rest of my Warden's career as Commander of the Gray of Ferelden.

I don't think we as fans should be disappointed by what we won't see, but rather be excited for what we can see. I for one would love to visit the capital of Antiva or Orlais. I can only imagine what the creative minds and wonderful artists could flesh those areas out with to make them just as endearing as Ferelden was.

I am slightly disappointed by the lack of ability to choose my characters race, but I think that has partially to do with the fact that there were not many ways to customize a character other then the origins. Being completely honest I think they need to put a little more options into the combat side of things. New weapons, spells, etc etc. Um, Massive armor that doesn't look like every other set of massive armor...

I'm really.... really.... REALLY going to miss being an elf. And I'm really, REALLY disliking how everything is starting to seem more and more Mass Effect geared. I thought you weren't one note, Bioware. I loved you. I praised you. Don't... don't make me sad. I know I'm going to love DA2 no matter what, because the Dragon Age universe is so amazing, it really is, and the Mass Effect mechanics are also pretty amazing. But still, I'm going to lament the loss of what made DA:O unique, and I'm sad you guys didn't bother to flesh out those aspects, instead of just cutting them out. I also don't mind the cut from DA:O's warden, it would have been nice to import, but I can live without it. But.... but... no elf? I can't begin to describe how sad that makes me.

Also, DA:A was a joke. As is most of the DLC you've put out. But don't worry, Bioware, I don't blame you at all for that. EA gets blamed for that.

I liked DA:A. It was... meh. The story was kinda weird. I liked how it tied into the books that were put out in the sense that the Architect was in it but other then that I kinda treat it as a seperate experience.

This whole DA2 is a giant mistake and letdown. I can't believe I've been waiting so long for this bull****. Maybe someone will knock some sense into them and we can finally have our beloved characters, that we invested so much time in, back in DA3...I"m hoping DA2 is such a bust that Bioware can see what a douchebag mistake they made.....I WANT TO PLAY DRAGON AGE 2 NOT SOME MEDIEVAL VERSION OF MASS EFFECT 3 thank you very much!

“With Dragon Age 2 we are creating an exciting new entry point into the Dragon Age universe while ensuring that fans of the original game retain a sense of satisfaction and familiarity in the world,” said Dragon Age 2 Executive Producer Mark Darrah. “We are amplifying the things that made Dragon Age: Origins such a huge success while introducing a more dynamic combat system, improving the graphics, and telling the most important story in our world.”

You aren't amplifying the things that made DA:O a success, you're completely getting rid of them.

The combat was one of the things that made DA:O a success for me. Then again, I played the proper game, namely the PC version, so the combat was old-school.

The Gameinformer article says that DA2 on the PC is keeping the tactical combat, so woo!

I mean combat wasnt that great not because of the pause or the isometric camera or not h&s style, just because classes werent balanced enough at least at start to make it so amazing.

Your not her son, hate to break it to you.

You escape lothering right? well her and the warden would have the kid later.

Also the claim your chocies matter and you can pick not to have the kid with her, so the cant force that on you if choices matter

I hope they wont make her god kid cannon, sure i want her in the game, and hell i think it would be cool if she had a kid, but it shouldnt be a god kid because i didnt choose that.

For god sake people. The God Child is not established in canon and therefor can not yet exsist in other games, just because YOU picked it don't mean it will be the centerpoint of a future game, because there are others...like myself...who did not make that choice and Bioware would be treating that audiance unfairly. I hate Morrigan and hope to god I never see her face again, but I'm sure we will and I'll live with it. Also the main thing I think you people need to remember is this. The Dragon Age series was never stated as being one long story with the same people forever. Dragon Age is a collection of storys set in the same universe. Pretty much like how the ME novels are with the games. Or Star Wars for another example. Origions was great, amazing even. But simply dissmissing DA2 simply because its a different story and the character is unrelated is childish. You are trying to limit Biowares imagineation by trying to dictate the direction of the storys they want to tell. Bioware has the right to explore their expansive universe and not simply confine it to the same related characters. That makes Thedas seem pretty much empty and pointless. I can promise you Mass Effect won't end with ME3, I can bet they will make unrelated stories that also take place in that universe simply due to the massive universe they created for it. Also, who said that Darkspawn HAS to be the enemy ALL the freakin time? personaly about halfway through Origins I was sick of cutting down Darkspawn like fodder. I was overjoyed when I fought actual people with souls and emotions. That made the fight more meaningful because there was motavations behind their actions. Darkspawn have no motavaions they are simply compelled. That makes a preatty lame enemy imo.

And what do you guys think to do with Morrigan's storyline? The best in my opinion, but that's not the point.Image IPB

That might not of been your choice, but it seems likely that was the true outcome of origins.

So who is? Is this an implication that there is a godchild in DA2?
