if Hawke is a blight survivor how can it be morrigans child?

Who said he was a blight survivor?

We did. :)

Which means that Morrigan is not his mother and Hawke is not the god child in DA2.

So who is? Is this an implication that there is a godchild in DA2?

Heh, this is the exact reason Bioware employees have to watch what they say and how to say it in the forums. :P

Well I guess this annoncement has confirmed what I suspected all along, did anyone really wonder why the first Dragon Age was called Origins?

From the moment I got up to the Dark Ritual on my first playthrough I knew the answer. Origins was only the beginning of something bigger, the true story would start in Dragon Age 2 and Origins was pretty much to explain the origin of the main character in Dragon Age 2. As many of you would have guessed by now Hawke (That is the name they are going with right?) is Morrigans child and Dragon Age 2 will be his story. Chris Priestly's confirmation that we will not be able to choose our race is only further proof of this theory.

Before the announcement I always wondered how they would implement races in Dragon Age 2 since your mother would be human, would your character be dwarf or elf with human blood or would the choice be taken away altogether? The choice of races was the only hiccup with the theory that you would be playing as Morrigans child but now that I know we can only be human I guess that pretty much confirms for me that you will be Morrigans child.

I know some people are pissed because this means your choices wont carry over but then I never really expected they would, just because it was in Mass Effect it would be dangerous to assume that Dragon Age 2 would feature this as well.

Hell I am excited and I cant wait to see the reveal trailer.

Hey guy!
Its over ,your theory is one of the most retarded I have ever seen everywhere you look at you find only on thing:Hawke is Blight surviver that means that he´s far older then the morrigans "god child".
OK?
Do you get it?
I personaly think that dragon-witch is it.

I love how everyone is trying to grasp at strings to try to find any sort of proof to prove a none cannon character exsists. You all need to come to terms with the fact that Bioware has not declared that god child cannon and until they do he is not going to appear as the center point in any future Dragon Age game. Simply because a game is called "Origins" does not automaticly mean "OH GOD CHILD ORIGIN!" Origins implys that it's the beginning of the Dragon Age Universe, not the beginning of any particular person. The god child choice was basicly the DA version of "Kill Council" or "Save Council" in ME, and guess what? That choice carried over into the next game. Bioware has already said you will be able to import your DA: O file into this game. Therefor, as long as there are people who did NOT choose the have that child he will NOT appear as a centeral figure. It seems to me you are simply refuseing to see facts due to fanboy/ girl blinders over your eyes.
