Please don't forget them BioWare, they are essential in an immersive RPG.
So, will there be NPC's who advertise paid DLC's this time?

Considering the massive amount of whining about 1 NPC (whose Exclamation point could be turned off by simply turning off plot helpers) I doubt it.

I hope so. It was an interesting way to advertise DLC. No other game has tried that. A notice on the main menu just seems so boring.

It pulled me in and MADE me want to spend my money.

It was amusing and certainly got plenty of publicity.

yep, ol' Levi Dryden seemed sincere to me and made me want to help him. so what if it cost me $7? I liked it, plus I got some cool gear in the end.

Whoever that idea originally came from, that person should be drawn and quartered.

I agree, but the lucky SOB probably got promoted for his great idea.

Yeah, awesome. Wasn't there a dialogue option for the guy advertising Shale that said, "(access downloadable content menu)" or something equally absurd?

Yeap, was probably the lamest **** i've ever endured in a single player game.

Levi Dryden only showed up during my first play-through (It was WEEKS before I noticed he was there). After that, I never saw him again until I bought the DLC about 7 months later. 'Twas odd.

You'll be able to ignore it.
The only time it ever bugged me, was before I had the 'net hooked up to my 360, and I had the content (came with a new game) but couldn't play.

As long as they don't go the Fable 3 route, where Jasper would voice that you had new DLC to look at EVERY SINGLE TIME YOU OPENED YOUR MENU (ie: literally hundreds of times in any given playthrough), I'm fine with them advertising their DLC as a quest marker.
At the time, I vowed to never buy another game from Lionhead Studios again, and even after all this time, the memory of how they did DLC advertisements still boils my blood.
