Anyone think there will be any books for Dragon Age 2 like there was for Origins? I'm hoping they do release some more, I thought The Stolen Throne and The Calling were good books that shed some light on parts of the Dragon Age story and shed more light on Loghain's character.

I think there is already a thread like this. But yes, I hope David Gaider can find the time to write a few more.

Is there? I looked but couldn't find it.
I'd be interested to see a book on Morrigan's travels myself.

I did not see another thread like this, since we have July-Feb I'd assume you'll get one book, maybe 2. More likely one book and a comic from dark horse.

another comic would be epic, I've only got the first comic on my PSP but it looked great.

I think one of the gaming websites that was reporting DA 2 last night was talking about a new book coming out in January.

That could potentially lead to more rage if it's done the wrong way. It would bridge the DAO-DA2 gap, but it might further (excrement) on certain people's DAO XP.

More books, please! Even if it isn't a tie in between the games, I really enjoy reading what Gaider comes up with

DA 2 is not going to be DAO 2, I am sad but I have accepted it. People are just going to have to buck up and accept it. A comic will not change that.

I think that since we won't be controlling our origins players though, even if the Morrigan having a child option is canon, it won't have a big effect on Dragon Age II in terms of affecting the player's story.MKDAWUSS wrote...

Also, people seem to raging about the lack of race option, they'll be probably still be complaining about that, it's the bigger issue.

So I recall someone telling me recently that that were more DA novels being planned but I haven't seen a source for this information. Any chance we can get a confirmation and possibly learn if there are any novels in the pipeline to connect the dots between DA 1 and DA 2 or just some pre-DA 2 stuff to look forward to?

Or they could do it/them in the same manner as the Mass Effect booksMKDAWUSS wrote...

That info about possible book release in January sounds nice.
David, or anybody from BioWare crew, how about some confirmation on that one?

I really enjoyed both books, and it gave more depth to Loghain and Maric for me. I really hope we get more books too. I don't even care if they don't have anything to do with DAO or DA2 and are just set in the DA universe. They are just enjoyable to read.

Would definitely love to see a book or two covering the intervening time between DA:O and DA2, particularly if, as many seem to suspect, Hawke winds up being Morrigan's child. I can't imagine that we won't see at least some tie in products, even if just comics or machimina instead of a full novel.

both of the books were great- I would love to see some more!
I'm sure that some people would complain fiercely if Mr. Gaider wrote a book which made certain points of the first game canon, but I look at that as a sometimes necessary evil. Yes, it may take away some of OUR personal experiences with the game, but if it lets him tell another great story I'm willing to make that sacrifice...

I'm all giddy for more reading material, can we please get a confirmation on any upcoming novels that may or may not related to DA2? Pretty please

Maybe we could ask him?
And ask if if he has written anymore novels generally...I rather like his writing style. I find it very hard to get into written fantasy (even though I love fantasy, I hate those padded bland mapped filled generic fiction ones), but his style is accessible.

I asked Gaider a few days ago. He dodged the question but did say he was glad I was hoping more was on the way.

Cheers for asking.
What about him writing any stand alone fiction?
