I don't have the exact numbers in front of me, but I'm pretty sure at least 90% of the DA2 team are people who shipped DA:O. I'd like to think that's because the team is excited about DA2; nothing makes a better game than a passionate team.

Fantastic news, great team, the original story was fantastic and I can't wait for more.

So much criticism on these threads for this freshly announced game, the storyline of games for me has always been a critical component and to have it continued by the same team is music to my ears (or eyes when reading forum posts), I long for the interpretation of game lore that had no doubt already been envisaged continuing in the future.

Agreed. They have kept the same writers, which is good.

Yup, that is good news as they wrote a deep and rich story the first time around

I think thats partly where ME2 went wrong, not enough of the original crew so the original vision wasnt there and they got off target.

Now we just need a in game video to put our minds at ease about the mechanics of game!

Best writers sadly only as good as the mechanics they have to work with after all.

A good many would agree with you that ME2, story-wise, was much inferior. But that is another thread...

I have no doubt DA2 will retain it's identity as an 'old school' RPG.

So long as DA2 does not lose isometric strategy. That, IMO would be a huge blow.

The story and Plot of DA 2 is not what worries me, i have no doubt that it will be fantastic, however, i AM worried a lot about the game play and character changes that Bioware are making. (especially voice over for the PC)
