so everything about our warden will be done by dlc and expansion to finish his/her story? just seems a bit lazy instead of making a game based on our choices they just make a new game. I woudnt call this a sequal I'd call this a new game

I am really looking forward to the game, yet am a little disapointed if Hawke is a male and you get no other options. That said, can't wait for more info. :)

well why?

Why dragon age 2 cannot be of use with dragon age 1 for create the foundation for dragon age 3 where the plot of morrigan's god child reach its end?

I believe DA2 to be a whole new game completely different from its predecessor. I think bioware realised how much better games are becoming, and the original concept of DA1 was good but not game breaking enough to withstand the amount of popular titles on the rise again. DA2 will ultimately be biowares tweaked version of DA1, the graphics for one a 'key' feature, this was the first mod created for DA1 and had a massive download. The combat has/must be altered to tailor the complex gamer, no more pause hack. It says think like a general fight a like a spartan, will there be empire building or strategic warfare as well as first person combat?

Overall, I think this will surprise many other companies, and I believe that Bioware is running again for gold. Hopefully, the game play is not substituted for graphics and shorter game play. Remember everyone that plays and remembers a game forever is the fine balance of gaming.

fair point i was thinking that perhaps dragon age 2 main character will meet up with the warden and instead of 1 main character in dragon age 3 there be 2.

Also anyone know if cloaks will be in this game? I know they were wanted in origins, so with the improvement perhaps they will bring them.

Bioware should have waited a bit more until they where able to give out more information on the game, maybe that would have lessan the drama (probably not).

Any way I like where the game is heading, Human (male/female), Commoner (nice), Mage that is not part of the circle (also nice) Warrior Rogue.

I will defenetly like to know more about the game but still its no where near WORLD ENDING as alot of people are claming.

Well got to go preorder this issue.

We've also got this, in case no one has noticed: http://gameinformer....dragonage2.aspx

So that should be updated regularly this month with fresh info.

Wait, Gamestar ( from Germany ) just announced today that they got the world exclusive ten pages preview. Or maybe it was the Germany exclusive? :P

They did not say exclusive, they said they have more information in their september issue than any other mag worlwide.

Yep, you're right, I think that is the most logical reading of their announcement. Well, only three weeks until their next issue releases. ^^

I was under the impression by reading the description of dao2:

"BioWare has confirmed that Dragon Age 2, the sequel to the 2009 RPG of the Year, is in development. Dragon Age 2 progresses the epic saga, as you take on the role of Hawke, a survivor of the Blight and the hero who will change the world forever."

that there is only one character(story line) to choose from... I hope I am wrong.

I was hoping for a sequel that brings back certain old characters like Morrigan, Alistair, ... and with the possibility to import your character from dao, something like awakening but longer obviously...

You have to realize that Morrigan doesn't get the child in every playthrough. So they can't make a game about that, or treat that as a significant part of the plot.

Besides, this is a standalone game. It has nothing to do with DA:O.

Alright, just finished reading the DA2 article in my GI mag. WARNING! I am going to be posting some of the things that really stand out. (To me anyway) So if you don't want to know, skip my post.

1) We will be able to import our DA:O games into DA2.

2) We will see Flemeth at some point.

3) Pissing off party members won't always be a bad thing. "They won't necessarily leave. They may still join you, but they're going to try to show you up, and that may influence battle in a different way."

4) We're getting the ME2 conversation wheel, but this time instead of having some dialogue be a particular color the center of the wheel will show a symbol to show what kind of reply it is. (The article uses the examples of them being something like aggressive or sarcastic)

5) The way the story unfolds will be very different compared to the past Bioware games. "Dragon Age II has a framed narrative structure, which means that the exploits of Hawke occured in the past, but are being retold in the present." "Narrators with unique insights into the events in question tell the tale of his past adventures."

6) We may get to see some of the DA:O events at the start from a different perspective. "Dragon Age II begins as the events of Origins are still taking place, so you may see some familiar events from a different angle."

7) Because of the game spanning a decade, we get to see the consequences of our actions sooner, rather than in a little text at the end of the game.

8) The PC version's combat system remains mostly the same. "The PC version implements the same strategic approach afforded by a mouse-and-keyboard control scheme." "Rather than try to mimic the PC experience on consoles, Dragon Age II has a battle system more tailored to the strengths of the PS3 and 360."
