Will it use the wheel?

Since set background probably means full VO, will DA2 use the dialog wheel as well?  It's (unfortunately) probably necessary for a full-VO system to prevent long strange gaps between lines.

(Cue internet wails and gnashing of teeth.)

Despite the set background I'm still hoping that the main char isn't voiced. I like the "pick a line" dialogue system and having something you already read repeated would just be silly.

Yeah, but that's part of why ME (and TOR) uses the wheel...

Why does it matter if its the shape of a wheel or the same as DA1. Why is it necessary, not like the same can happen with the text boxes at the bottom.

One possibility is the "hybrid" they used in the Leliana DLC, where there is no wheel, but the choices are just condensed versions of what Leliana will say, in the vein of the ME system.

Ah, I didn't play that. Seems likely, with the Leli DLC being a trial run for it.

(Btw, how long is it? Worth $7?)

I played for a little less than 3 hours, but I'm a completionist. I thought it was worth the price, but YMMV.

I "loved" how ME could sometimes completely surprise me by what MY Shep actually told based on my choice of dialogue, so I would rather go with word-by-word dialogue choice, I couldn't care less for being voiced (lest I will forget reading, if things continue this way).

Looks like it's true...

4) We're getting the ME2 conversation wheel, but this time instead of having some dialogue be a particular color the center of the wheel will show a symbol to show what kind of reply it is. (The article uses the examples of them being something like aggressive or sarcastic)

He doesn't actually have the GI issue.  Wait until it is actually released.

His statements are generic and cover topics that are obviously meant to cause anger.

Confirming that the PC version retains tactical control isn't anger-causing. Quite the opposite.

The PS3 and 360 versions not being similar to the PC anymore is.

If this is true then I'm excited. I prefer the ME wheel to the DA list of items. It's not as much to read when I've been staring at a computer screen, eyes bleeding, for several hours.
