I am really looking foward to this game but there seem to be a few heated debates on here mostly about the new guy/gal and alot of talk about his origin not to mention alot of anger over the loss of the origin Stories. I personally hope that we can at least make some visual changes to Hawke like in the Mass Effect Series I just thought of a pretty neat Idea what do you think about these as possible Hawke Origns but I would like to mention that these all were thought of because of the premise of the game Rise to Power

1. The Warden and Morrigan's Old God Child
2. A Son of King Maric
3. A Son of King Alistair and Queen Anora 
4. A Son of Logain
5. A Cousland Noble
6  A Howe Noble

The first one makes the most sense to me. And since you can choose the gender of Hawke, I'm sure you can customize him/her to your liking.

The problem with 2, 3, 5 and 6 is that it seems such characters would be in Ferelden, and DA2 isn't going to be in Ferelden.

Yeah I am hoping that but the reason I mentioned the others I just thought that Hawke being Marics Son would be Epic and imagine if The Wardens/Morrigans child was in this game and if bioware made the child a daughter she could be a possable Romance ooption for Hawke

Well Nathaniel Howe used to live in the Free Marches before the events of Awakening...

As others stated due to the fact it's not in Federlden only 1 makes much sense. Personally I'd enjoy being Anora's kid more then morrigan's but judging by all the dragon images, I'd guess Morrigan's kid.
