And don't blame console gamers, now you're just stereotyping and looking like a fool for doing it.

Also, how is that taking away all freedom? You can still choose sex and class for your character. Also, we don't know how open the main game will be. You may get more freedom in other ways.

Sounds to me like they are trying to make the story more personal this time, one major criticism from a lot of customers was the lack of voice work for the protagonist. I hope the combat mechanics remain the same though Dragon Age had great combat and I would hate to see the BG-like combat disappear altogether.
A lot of people on these forums loved the no voicework simply because it allowed you to voice your character in your head, how he / she would sound like and what they'd say EXACTLY instead of giving small ideas of what they'll say. The complaint seemed to have stemmed from the Mass Effect crowd.

Sounds like we barely know anything yet, and all this complaining is ridiculous.

Just how are consoles to blame exactly? Just wondering.
Because PC elitists like me usually sterotype console players as ten year olds who only play Halo or COD, and thus want a simple game.

i wouldn't worry if current dragon age related releases hadn't been so .... suboptimal at best.Majin Paul wrote...
So they take away the option of being an Elf and Dwarf and the game sounds terrible? How would you have reacted had they actually given a decent amount of information and not just a few teaser sentences?
lessons learned + announcement = i USED to like dragon age.

I'm also looking forward to the updated graphics ( by the time I played DAO, ME2 was already out ME2's graphics made DAO's look dated and sloppy ) and the revamped combat system.
I like the ME games so I don't see it as a bad thing that DA2 will have a bit more in common with the ME games than DAO or DAA.

Devs have confirmed that he's human.Feller1219 wrote...
They only gave a last name, and a starting situation. The article didn't say that "Hawke" was human, or an elf. This is just the first piece of information people, you have seven months just take a breather and relax. More information will come
