So I guess all those choices and decsions made in DA:O and DA:A are now going to be pointless?
I mean if its in a different land and completly unrelated to the original games then when we made Alistair king or did the ritual with Morrigan we wont see any of this in the next game. BioWare said that choices made in ME1 would be felt in other ME games. I am yet to see or feel anything in ME2.
How will DA 2 be any different ?

There is some continuation, but you will have to play the game to find out. For example, the actor who played Alistair was hired again for DA II, possibly for a reprisal as the King.
