As it is almost certain now that the main character will be voiced, I'd like to recommend the actors that should play Hawke.

For the male voice I have to go with Simon Templeman. Now I know he already played Loghain, but he is just my favorite English voice actor in gaming. He has the range to play good and bad very differently. But he especially plays a great bad guy.

And for the female voice it would have to be Jennifer Hale doing her English accent. Again, another actor that's been used a lot, especially by Bioware. But when I think of her Bastila from Kotor or Naomi from the original Metal Gear Solid, that's my favorite English voice from video games.

So what does everyone else think?

Anyone but Mark Meer. To this date I haven't been able to play as a male Shep for more than 5 mins, Listening to that mans "acting" is as enjoyable as scraping razors down my eyeballs. Which is one of the many reasons I prefer no VA too.

Simon would be a good choice.

As for female: Jennifer Hale. But not the typical-exaggerated-anime-dub-sounding Jennifer Hale from ME2 please, she sounded just fine as Mazzy Fentan or Bastila Shan.

I'd suggest Jennifer Hale, except between ME1/2/3, at least one of the TOR PCs (female Trooper, I heard?), and a whole raft of big NPCs, she'd end up being the official voice of Bioware.

edit -- Nolan North is doing the male Smuggler in TOR, I think.
