Gordon Freeman.
Yeah, his voice is just perfect. Hope bioware hires his VA for this game.

I think Nolan North would be better suited to an Alistair like character rather than Hawke who I'd prefer silent noone has a voice to go with his awesome beard.

bioware should at least get a cast of different voices for DA2 like in origins; my picks would be:
Yuri Lowenthal
Steve Blum
Nolan North
Jonny Yong Bosch
Crispin Freeman
Liam O'brian
Roger Craig Smith
Dave Wittenburg

If he hadn't already been Loghain, I'd have said Simon Templeman for Mork. I freakin' love Templeman. Jennifer Hale really shouldn't be Fork, though. Love her, but she's already Shepard and I'd like something different.

I should voice Hawke. Bioware wouldn't have to pay anything except travel expenses.

Ethan Hawke will be doing the voice acting and serve as the character model

It hasn't been confirmed anywhere (I don't think? Someone give me a link just in case) that he/she will have a voice...
Mark Meer might be good though, I don't know his range of voices though.

Nice!
Robert Carlyle for male Hawke.
Catherine Zeta Jones for female Hawke. (unusual, but she's Welsh! It could just work!)

Time to bump this thread (for obvious reasons).
Given how badly her "tough" Liara was received, why are people suggesting Ali Hillis?

Short List:
Zach Hanks: Male Hawk
Collen Clinkenbeard: Fem Hawk
Note: I could go on and on, but, these two just fit the bill off the top of my head.

Steve Blum. I mean, you can only really choose VAs from BioWare's list of commonly-used VAs. And looking at Iconic Hawke, I'd say Steve Blum would fit well. And maybe for female Hawke, Jennifer Hale, or whoever played Ash in ME.

The character is born in Lothering, or at least he/she is from Lothering.flem1 wrote...

No one American, unless they can do a damn good British accent.

I think Martin Freeman (Tim from the Office (UK) and Arthur Dent in the Hitchhiker's Guide movie a few years ago) would make a good Hawke. It's got a nice neutral quality, meaning not too high, not too low, not too posh, not too common. And best of all, it's not the stereotypical gruff action hero voice. And also he has a natural accent, so we don't have to put up with someone faking it.

I'd love to hear Mark Sheppard. Irony aside as to the name, he is from London, so he's got the natural accent. He has stood out in every roll I've seen him in since he played "Badger" on Firefly. He can play a wide range of emotions without ever having to raise his voice. I vote "Badger" for Hawke!

For female Hawke i say Jennifer Hale, as long as she doesnt sound like she does in Mass Effect. She's brilliant in ME, but i would hate for them to sound exactly the same.
For male Hawke i say Zach Hanks because he's great at voicing Kristoff in Warden's Fall!

How about Greg Ellis. They used him for every other NPC in DAO, so why not the lead. lol
