This is what I find most interesting about the information that has been revealed to us... Takes place over Ten Years? How exactly... How do you think this story will play out over 10 years? Most games like to take place in one place, during one time, because it's easier to tell a story and keep events consistent. 10 years is a long time, do you think Dragon Age 2 will be as long as Dragon Age Origins, or longer? What are you thoughts?

Assassins Creed games happened over quite long periods of time. Different game altogether but it is possible. Fables another example.

In DAO you took ~ 3 years to stop the blight, soo I guess this shall be interesting, Does our character get the beard before or after?

Assassin's Creed was good but.. the time skip at the end was too much, you went from being a newbie to a pro within 5 seconds.

Don't get me started on Fable 2.

I assume the story starts with Hawke as a teenager, living through the hard existence of having Morrigan as his mother. And then ten years later, after many tests and rites of passages, he grows up and sets out to fulfill his mother's dream of ruling the world

Dragon Age 2 will be the Baldur's Gate 2 to Dragon Age Origins Baldur's Gate.

you start off as a kid in some village, then darkspawn swoops in the murder everyone, cue a cut scene, and then slowly fades into black screen, then the word 'ten years later' appears, and you pick up from there.

Then you find out you are actually the chosen one at some point.

"Happy birthday! Can you believe it? He's growing up so fast!"

Hopefully, this means you'll see the PC age.  Now THAT would be awesome.

i always wondered how DA took 2 years cus it realy didnt seem like that in game.

the whole 10 year thing just doesnt seem right to me i can only imagine it will be a lot more linear because of it. afterall a full world map that needs to consistently change based on your choices seems unlikely i just dont know how its going to work

Dwarf commoner story -- Your sister has not child, went to Battle with the human king, Then watch a village burn because of the blight, your sister has baby "marry" the dwarf king and then you step back into your home town /city. with the rest of the armies to bring as a team, 2 years seem to be about right,

Yeah for some reason, Dragon Age Origins seemed like it took around 17 1/2 days.... Wow I can't wait to spend ten years on Dragon Age 2! 0_0

Does anyone else expect the game to start during or before the Blight and carry on afterwards? Seems like a logical reason to make it a 10 year period.
