I was hoping for either a hot Aussie accent (I have a crush on Chef Curtis
) or more British/English/assorted UK accents. That should cover it all.

Klingon.....
In all seriousness I'd love to hear Irish, Kiwi, and Scottish.

Probably nothing outrageous since they have to hire pretty large cast of characters who will speak that accent. So they will both need a decent-sized VA poll to draw from, and the end result has to be acceptable for the overly picky playerbase... who will no matter the choice **** and moan how every single NPC is either obviously faking their accent, or how they sound too hard/irritating to listen to. Or both.

I'd put money on english or american so they can retain voice actors they're familiar with. If pressed I'd have to go with american so they can use half the cast of battlestar galactica.

Kirkwall accents perhaps..? The accent would be based on languages/dialects they speak and are influenced by. Regional accents in the US are for a large part based on which nationalities settled where. The accents of Northern England are influenced by the Scottish and Irish and so on. There are regional accents everywhere you go, even here in New Zealand. There are so many contributing factors and it also depends on the origins/parentage of a particular individual, with whom and where they grow up etc.
What does that mean? There is no 'caucasian' accent. Not unless you're refering to Georgian, Armenian, Azerbaidjani, Dagestani, Chechen etc. That is to say, ethnicities who are found in the caucasus region.

I hope they all sound like mid-westerners from the U.S.A., overly-dramaticized in movies like Fargo. That would really want me to make Hawke into a ruthless slayer of everything that moves.

They did?? Minnesota or Wisconsin I could understand that comment, but Virginia? Unless you're talking about the DC suburbs where most of the people probably grew up somewhere else, the Virginia accent is definitely southern.
