The comments from the devs have been ringing a bit too close to Dr. Ray's "This is a predefined character in a third person narrative geared toward a core demographic" defense for excluding same sex relationships in ME.
Just to be clear though i'm not trying to demand its inclusion since details are still scarce and I refuse to assume that that absolutely is the case.
But I worry so I too am curious if it would be possible to give a little yes/no as to whether the options will exist at all.

Romance options in a game are a deal breaker?
I can't speak for everyone but for some people it wouldn't be the romance options themselves so much as the decision to go hetero-only after the entire ME2 debacle and everything said during that.
Many people were at the tipping point already and remaining loyal to Bioware based on the inclusiveness of DA. If that is taken out there are some who will probably abandon ship.
Edit:

Asking. We're asking about romances. Nothing wrong with asking.

I like how you present yourself as not caring about speculation about a newly announced game, but spend time browsing a forum specifically created for that purpose.

seriously though. my Bioware female leads have a long standing tradition of falling for the girls. To even think this wouldn't be possible again... yeah, I'd rather not think about it

Totally explained by his backstory and he was actually a pretty decent guy. But then Bioware fans love to hate the romances.

So we aren't allowed to not be completely satisfied with whatever Bioware gives us?Valmy wrote...

Or with long blond hair and a pletty failylike face...
He will have to be bisexual though.. they can't "waste zots", you know.
Or maybe they should let someone else write the romances, pletty please!

All I'm saying is that M/M fans may not want a repeat of what's already been done. The saucy assassin's been covered already.Valmy wrote...
