Dude what better cause can there be than taking out bad heads of state?? Maybe Hawke woke up one morning, let his beard pawn the daily dragon so he can fully wake up and then heard that some senators started voting for policies he didn't like such as ice-cream tax increase sending him over the edge and making him take matters in his own hands.......which leads to 10 years of ass-kicking action that leads to Hawke becoming king and fixing all the bad policies of the former politicians.....like those insane ice-cream taxes and crap.

I too find "save the world" to be a little worn out as a main plot line. A nice story about rising to power/fame where the world isn't on my character's shoulders would be a nice change of pace, to be quite honest.
