Forgive me if this has been mentioned somewhere but do we know if Hawke is, or will be, a Grey Warden? I realize Grey Warden's are the Jedi of the DA universe but I think I'd prefer if Hawke wasn't one. Maybe you can choose to become one or not? I think having him not being one, or making it a choice, opens up a lot more options as to who you can side with and what you can do.

Not old enough for the Joining. Besides, it's not a Blight story.

I hope he isn't. Not every story in DA should be about the Grey Wardens.

I hope not too. I'm sick of the Wardens, and being bound to a stupid organisation in general.

Also, dying in 30 years.

Have they mentioned his age? Also, Awakening took place after the blight.

He's better than a Gray Warden. He's a destitute refugee.

Why not? Non-Grey Wardens killed Darkspawn in the game.

They look more like ravenous corpses to me.

I wonder if the Architect will be in the game too. No closure on him at all.

I was thinking it would be cool if you could join him in helping to liberate the Darkspawn and make them into a civilized people.

I didn't realize he wasn't a grey warden, if he stays non-grey warden that makes waiting for more details all the more interesting.

There's no reason for him not for fight darkspawn despite not being a grey warden and it not being a blight, darkspawn are still in the deep roads and attack remote places.

Doubtful, seeing as he could be killed.

But... one of his main disciples is still alive. The Seeker, who is behind all the problems in the Wending Wood (Is that where you find Velanna?), is not met in awakening, and so is guaranteed to still be alive by DA2.

I think it's more likely that the main mook army is from the fade, this time. So, lots of undead and demons.

I am kind of disappointed that I cant continue on with my character.

Like in Awakening, but I trust David Gaider and Chris Priestly, and I hope that hawke is not another Shepherd.

Hopefully, he's Morrigan and the protagonist from DA:O's son... as an option. Then we can take Morrigan and Hawke to the beach; I'll read the newspaper, Morrigan will serve sandwiches from the back of the cart and Hawke will make sand-castles.

Seriously though, moar Morrigan, moar grey wardening.

After DAO and DAA, I never wanna hear the word "Warden" spoken aloud again.

...so no sandcastles and sandwiches? Well, I'll just hope they make more DLC content for DA:O so that I can.

Playing as another Grey Warden would just be tedious. They were fine for one game, where they were the focus of the storyline, but why would you want to play another one in the sequel? Especially as the Blight is over. It's not like there's going to be another Blight within a decade of the last one.
