i am one of those who wants the game to be imported, but to play in the future of dragon age, in sixth blight or something. and i meant that it wrapped our story up, why should they bring him back again ? this is cool enough for me
Alright.
Wait.
Ok.
Why shouldn't they bring him back? What happened to the Architect? What future of Dragon Age?
What the hell are you going on about?

Dragon Age 2 isn't looking too good just because of this main character thingie... I thought Bioware's plans were going to revolve around the concept of an Origin and than another different quest after having completed your character's origin. Kind of like a Superhero having an origin and then an entire series afterwards. At least even just a few more games involving our Warden would have been great. I understand why Bioware made this decision, but I would still like to voice my opinion on how much I dislike this choice. It is making Dragon Age too similar to Mass Effect, which isn't necessarily a bad thing, just I liked having the 2 different games. Regardless I'm still going to probably play Dragon Age 2, although I may not enjoy it to the same level I did Origins.
My thoughts as well.
If I wanted to play Mass Effect, I'd play Mass Effect.
And can we possibly get some official word in here?

The Warden's story was told and finished. Hell, one of my characters was basically resurrected for Awakenings. Dragon's Age was designed to be a platform for telling multiple stories, not just a long chain of tales about one guy.
Finished my ass.
Also, more information being pulled from asses. Stop coming up with crap all on your own, you're not convincing anyone.

It's not like that stopped importing into Awakening...Jonp382 wrote...
Many Wardens probably sacrificed themselves in various player's games. I only had one sacrifice, but it's understandable why they wouldn't carry over the Warden.
You'd think, at the very least, your decisions would carry over. Among other things, you crowned a king and/or queen of Ferelden...
iirc, doesn't Awakenings' epilogue literally say theAyeohx wrote...

finished
exact opposite, that your Warden's story is not finished?

It would be good to get a confirmation so I can press the delete button and free space for much needed memory.
Agreed.
All we need is a yes or a no on whether or not we will use them in the future.

I don't want to transfer my character. I just hope that my game save influences the new game somehow... like very minor plot details and maybe get some old equipment
atleast some minor use of having savegame transported

When did Bioware ever say that Dragon Age was the Warden's story?
In the epilogue to Awakenings.

No it didn't. It said your Warden disappeared and had further adventures or something. It doesn't say Dragon age 2 will go into further detail about these adventures.
Regardless, it looks doubtful this game will involve Darkspawn, so theres no need for the Warden.

Well i always thought there was a reason it was called "Orgin", and that it would continue form there. Now that were getting an intiraly new charecter, Hawke, it wasn't so much an Orgin but the whole story.
I wonder if their trying to make it more like Mass Effect. Oh well, im sure it will be great regardless.

The epilogue explains how years pass and depending on your LI and choices you made in the game they explain what happens later on and actually ends the wardens story, happily.
Well, not if you romanced Morrigan, that doesnt end happily, too bad for you.

It was called "Origins" -- ie. the origin stories of each potential character - Human Noble, City Elf... etc. I never thought that origins referred to the beginning of an ongoing story in sequels. Dragon Age is more about the setting.

They sure as hell aren't listening to the community any more. I want my Warden. I want to know what happened to Morrigan and I want to CONTINUE my relationship with her not play some "Hawke" guy I've no connection to. Very disappointed.
Agreed. And I would like to hear from Bioware officially so I can delete my Warden.
