They sure as hell aren't listening to the community any more. I want my Warden. I want to know what happened to Morrigan and I want to CONTINUE my relationship with her not play some "Hawke" guy I've no connection to. Very disappointed.

Agreed. And I would like to hear from Bioware officially so I can delete my Warden.

I second this.

I'm kinda sad about that info, but i also understand that they wanna make a completely new story.

But i really hope that u can meet some of your old companions. They said that DA:O fans would be happy, because they can meet some familiar stuff.

To be fair Bioware never said that you would be continuing to play the same character throughout the Dragon Age series. People just assumed they would, like with Shepard.

Just because you can't continue with an certain character in DA2 doesn't mean you should jump the gun and delete your past characters, after all in awakening ending it said that there were more stories to tell with your warden, but for another time

I suspect we will continue with our past warden's either in DA3 or another game in the series, but to tell the story in DA2 we need to play as "Hawke".

I third this?  Can i do that?  LOL!

Not being able to import my warden(s) has me seriously debating a boycott of DA2.  If I wanted to play as a static, developer created character,  I would have bought Mass Effect...

Now I am wondering something here. Bear with me for a second. There were more than one blight correct. Now I am wondering could this be talking about another blight in the past?

I though the Devs said that the action will take place 10 years later, no?

Though I like the idea...

The game plays out within the time spand of ten years

"The Dragon Age" started only 30 years before the blight happened, so i wouldn't be dragon age if didn't take place in the dragon age

Mass Effect was always a Trilogy so the import feture is there (even if in ME2 it was a bit shallow)

Dragon Age was never intended to be about the same charecter but about the World.

If thats the case, and it looks to be, then the ending to DA:O was very poorly written. Not only did they leave a number of plotlines open but they actually state that there is more to come. If they didnt do that I dont think anyone would be upset with the new direction they are going in DA:2

Pretty much repeating what everyone says, I want my warden. I would like to know if I can keepmy file or delete it. An official response would put this thing to rest, otherwise we are just gonna continue to repeat ourself. Will our warden continue on another sequel, will this affect the rest of the world. What of Morrigan's child god thing, if you chose that option?

I agree, DA2 sounds great ...
...but I like endings and am not satisfied with the 'ending' of DAO,  I'm not even talking about major plots, just closure on the GW story in the epilogue would have suited me fine.

If this is not resolved then I'll be wary of investing time and money in a new story that may not be concluded either...  which makes me sad Image IPB as I loved DAO

Bioware said they were working on another expansion for DA:O so this makes a lot of sense if you have for your wardens story.

Well, I have read all your posts and... just for myself... I have to say, that I am really disappointed to hear, that there ´may not´ be a possibility of importing of my character to DE2.

At first, because... I like it.

second... because of my belongings (I really love my staff Spellfury)

third... I saved some of my spell points for "spare in next time"

and fourth... I saved sorveign by sorveign to have quite nice amount of gold... again for "next time".

Now it all seems to ´probably´ be a "big waste" :-(

I - again I say ´for myself´ - do not consider DE2 to be a "separate game". It take place in the same century and therefor it is "tight enough" for me to amalgamate with DE much more than only in the story context.

Well, I don´t want to argue your opinions. I respect your way of look. Still I think, that this feelings represents feelings of many, which may be more wedded to their hero "from before" and which may consider him (or her :-) to be a crucial part of Dragon age game.

Monstruo696 Will you stop whining so much?

Dragon Age 2 will import the save game of Dragon Age 1, this is confirmed time and time again in interviews on G4TV.com and other gamer web sites. Multiple interviews with many people working on the project and more. You're complaining and not even watching the interviews about features.

I am very attached to my warden and Bioware has never failed to let you import what mattered into a save game, ever. With their new software they can probably just pull your save game right out of the bioware folder it's saved too without forcing you to manually sync them up.

I'm guessing that either it will be in the full game as something you can do from the start, or a little bit later. Like when the dwarf started telling a tall tale and then after playing a quick combat tutorial getting the actual CC screen.

I am quite interested myself in more exact details about how my save game is imported. But your whining serves no purpose. If I was Bioware staff or any of the moderators or anyone with the information I wouldn't care if you knew. You're complaining, talking about throwing away years of work on facts they've already confirmed in multiple interviews and what not.

So if you want to know how save games work I will tell you to go look it up. Maybe someone from the company will have been authorized to release exact details by now.

On one guide I read it said to make an Origin's Playthrough, then import it into awakening, then Golems of Argawakawawoowhatever and then Witch hunt for a perfect streamed save.

Personally with the combat, spell and ability styles and exactly what you are importing Starting Dragon Age 2 with the power you had at the end of Origins and Awakening would make your character OP starting out. A lot of Dragon age 2 however is gonna have Hawke dealing with fallout of Dragon Age 1 and what your warden did.

Go to Dragonage.com to the gallery. Watch the Making of 1 and 2 videos. They talk about Origins effect on DA2. Go to g4tv.com and type in Dragon Age 2 in the search box and watch their vids. It will answer all of the questions...

or you could whine and hope someone in Bioware bends to whining.

You can't import your character but you can import the "state of the world" so whatever choices you've made in Origins will be in DA II.

i agree though. I mean wow, reading this, he has to be the biggest c*ck on the forums. He is disregarding anyone elses opinions, despite asking a question.

Oh and to the OP, learn some manners, tosser.
