some things that interest me about DLC............Ostagar..you go back fight some darkspawn find all of cailins armor and weapons find duncans weapons yet when you give duncans weapons to alistair it doesnt mean anything and if you give him Cailins armor it still doesnt mean anything...and when you walk around talking to people afterwards no one even notices you have the kings armor or weapon....somehow that just isnt right.

Leliana betrayed as we all thought from her storyline just in ferelden rather than orlais as thought so the "traitors punishment" turns out to be a "spies punishment" wih a rescue from an Orlesian chantry member. Then rather then "fleeing to ferelden" she goes after Marjolaine then lets her live and then I guess she joined the chantry to hide from something certainly not Marjolaine since she could have just killed her so maybe we could have more Vague DLC.

I purchase DLC in the hope of finding continuing storyline or confirmation of events previously hinted at. I hope with future DLC they do a little better along those lines.

they mentioned before it was released that it wasn't a continuation... but a background story. which !!SPOILERS!! leads to leliana's sidequest in origins

Neither of the mentioned DLC was regarded as continuation of any
storyline, it is not the lack of continuation I disliked but the things I
described in the first two paragraphs.(please re read them if you must)
Though I would like some DLC to have a continuation of something, so
far that has not been the case. But if you are going to make DLC try to
do better with the results. If you have the kings armor people should
recognize that, and if you have explained your background (leliana) at
least try to keep events somewhat similar to what was described. It
would have been more in keeping with her storyline to have her fight her
way out of a number of situations and finally be able to flee to the
chantry while perhaps marjolaine returns to orlais only to find out
Leliana has escaped and must now look for her or kill her thus making
the meeting in origins actually correct.

I'll give you 100% we are still going to release more DLC for Dragon Age: Origins before we release Dragon Age 2. And I have said as much repeatedly now. :)

so tell us.  will this DLC cover how the world becomes a living anime complete with our "Hawke" superhero?  will he have a ****ing gunblade??

what a dumb**** name.  What, genius, came up with a name that in no way fits in the world?

Hawke? lol.....do we get limit breaks?

people should recognize that? so u want little soundbites of people saying "cool armor, dude." or allistar like "i wanna wear it its my brother's"

idk if that would make the story any more interesting so why bother =/

Actually If you are wearing the kings armor dont you think someone would either commend you for retrieving it or ask you to turn it over since you are not the king? Just a simple addition for recognition in storyline. Not that difficult I would think.

will the choices in dragon age origins affect DA:2, or no such thing for this game?

I don't see your argument. Games end.

Because it wasn't an ending, for crying out loud. No closure, no feeling of: This is it. It's like an author writing half a book, publishing it, then throwing it away saying: "Nah, can't be bothered, I got another story I want to begin". It is cheap!

Of that I have no doubt.  What I do doubt is a proper ending to the Warden's tale.

I hope we're talking about a full-sized $40 expansion here? Because no matter how much I whine and complain about problems in game on these forums, I'd buy such DLC at release day. Especially if it mentions Morrigan.<3

I'm also hoping for an expansion.
But $30.

lol take it easy wouldn't want you to have a stroke now. It's just a game, take a breath and look around and remember this is a GAME. Yes i understand how some people can get riled up over video games, but in the end they're here to have fun with and entertain us. If you don't like it don't play it simple as that. And it's quite funny how many people are bashing it based off the fact that a few facts released and they assume the worse. Woopdy ****ing doo, let bioware release more information before you're so quick to form a lynchmob jesus. And i don't get how dragon age will be an anime, guess maybe you thought you hopped on the square enix forums for Final fantasy or something heh.

I think it was, thats if you wanted to keep the Warden as your Main. The reason they are not saying if he or she is dead and gone is they want you to keep buying the DLC that is on the site right now. If they were to tell you this, some people would not buy it and they would lose some money, David, IMO has killed off the Warden, it's just going to say so in DA2, he is dead in a Codex, so yea you made a character for really nothing more then to shape this Hawke person...........sad days.

**Quit complaing about DA2 you idiots! We've JUST seen new info. Wait till the trailer comes out and THEN complain! **

I stole this from a signature and I would say I agree and disagree.. complain if there are REAL Facts of DA 2 - before posting overall wild speculations and damn a game to the ground - we know just a few facts about, such useless and wasted time

*shakes head and goes back to do some REAL stuff*

I absolutely agree about a DLC after DA:A!

And I do not find it useless to get DLC now we know we get a DA:2, I mean .. It will get you back to Origins and play the new parts along with the rest. I find this quite enjoyable. I acquired Dragon Age quite late after release after seeing my boyfriend play it. Since then I made several characters which I done whole Origins with, a couple in Awakenings and after that used some DLC's to "replay".

I'll wait and see how DA:2 will turn out until then DLC's will do fine for me.

While they have been releasing more dlc for Origins, the most recent releases don't let you play as your warden and have very little to do with the main game other than providing some back story.  I hope that there is at least another expansion in the works at least, especially since DA2 will feature a completely different main character.  After 100+ hours each with my wardens, I guess I'm not quite ready for the journey to end.

i think you haven't seen all the endings of DA:O because if you would you would know why the devs never intended a sequal with the same main character....

OK, you must know it all, well on mine said my story was not yet told and had many more to tell, so we can set here and **** back and forth, you got your new game so go be happy.

Well your story will be finished through DLC so calm down.
Anyway how is your story not finished? The key word is STORY not life. Your story ended with the darkspawn going back under ground. What do you want him to do next fight another blight?
In dragon age my main character died (end of his story), in awakening my orlesion got the darkspawn back underground (end of his story), now its hawkes turn.

People have to stop throwing around "i want to finish my wardens story", because the writters know when your story ends. The wardens story is over, maybe his life isnt but his story is.

I swear from the sound of some of you guys it's like you would prefer NO new game at all while you play DA1 on an endless replay.

no, we people just want the same ability as in ME: to continue with the character we created and emotionally grew to love

Dragon Age and Mass Effect are not the same game.  Just because something was promised for one game doesn't mean you are going to get it for the other.  In fact, Bioware has always been clear that the two game series were completely different.  Dragon Age is about the creation of a new fantasy world where there were stories to be told all over the place.  That doesn't mean the same character would experience them all.

They didn't promise that.. but, reading the various epilogues, especially on DAA... a decent closure of the warden's story is required....

If they have the intention to do this with a well worked expansion, then it's fine for me to continue the DA series or just the DA2 with this Hawke, but I believe (and I'm not the only one) that some kind of ending for the warden is needed in my opinion... some of us wanted a continuation in DA2, but if this story-ending, comes via expansions, would be welcome, at least for me :)

You're telling me that you never heard fairy tales that ended with your mom or dad saying to you "they went off and did this, but that's for another day"? Because I can only assume you are talking about Awakenings.

Games. End. Mario beats Bowser. Sonic beats Robotnick. The main characters reach a goal. In Awakenings, your goal was to figure out what the Darkspawn wanted. You did that.

Dont suppose DAO will get another expansion? Im not one of those haters who is gonna jump ship because DA2 doesnt seem like DAO ... its isnt, its DA2, hence a NEW game. With that said, I really LOVe my DAO character and ,,,, well the expansion was kinda anticlimactic in ending, not to mention that Caping at Lv 35 just seems a little ... well unfinished. With that being said, BioWare has NEVER let me down before and I cant think of any reason they would now, I trust you guys. Cant wait for DA2 WOOT lol

Ummm also .... just to clerify, I KNOW you guys have said over, and over, and OVER again that more DLC is coming for DA:O so thats not what Im referring to. I guess just one realy BADASS expansion for DA:O is what Im praying for like, take the cap to 50 and give a climatic end to our hard run Warden. lol Im just rambling now, I got nothing but faith in BioWare been down since NWN. Nothing but LOVE you guys :P

good good cos ive been dying to see the expansions to cover the many loose threads.. mostly id like to see cliffhangers at the end of each dlc setting up the possible finale.. say end of next dlc the cutscene takes over and we see the mountains fly by in a camera shot, we see forests indicating the land and distance we are traveling.. even passing over oceans showing us leaving ferelden.. then we here in the distance a baby cry as it is born.. cut in to morrigan giving birth and cradeling her child.. end scene..

another expansion showing her with child in arms standing at the gates of sum big city maybe in the Tavinter or even Val Royeux.. giveing the warden cause to persuit to the Orlais lands and even a persuit through antiva and the rest.. finally culminating the side plot of the quest to find morrigan that will run through all the other DLC's main strys in a final expansion (massive expansion) pack that will give the whole world to play in or at least a good portion and a climatic final battle with a rapidly grown child and morrigan as its protector/ ally.. against a now aging warden and his/her band of elite friends and companions they have gathered through every dlc and expansion.. leading to a battle to put the arcdemon to shame.. :) ps if u like that idea can i have a job story writing your future scripts lol

man this is a old post brought from the dead. I like DLC their fun to play to get more lore or some more game play I have got every DLC to date just was shocked that some don't caring over to DA:A but you never know maybe they will caring into DA2. ------> ( Warden's keep) and if it isn't then it was still worth

it to increase the time of game for some cash.
