Mr. Gaider already said that it is way to early to be discussing the romance options and even a good amount of the companions. and they have to come up with the actual story line first and come up with all the endings and then they add in their romance options and all the other fun stuff.

jus cause mr. gaider says it's too soon doesn't mean we can't talk about romancing a female elven rogue... a nice one, please, no more mean, exotic beauties... and then a manly man-romancable... wow, my taste in romancable game companions are a bit cliche



but oh well, again, please make a sweet but deadly female elf, and a hunky and tough human warrior as romancables... for both genders of hawkes... please... did i say please already...

The game should ask for our gender during character creation, so that during the romance scenes, different music will play. Females get the orchestra score treatment, while the boys get 80s porn music.

I'm pretty sure, they already know, which companions and RIs will be in the game (the game has to be in a late state of development, if they want to get it out next march), it is just too early to announce the romance options yet.

It might be too early to discuss what has been concretely planned for romances; but that would mean the time is still right to discuss what elements should be incorporated into a romance and perhaps there is still time to influence some of the participants as well.

1. They all wanted to romance Duncan, why? Because he's more experienced, wiser, stronger and above them in rank; and yet he was still a gentleman.

Now for myself:

1. I really enjoyed the scenes when I'd go to the LI and they'd initiate the conversation with me. Like Alistair about his sister, Morrigan about the Grimore and Leilana about a couple of different things (from the stars to complimenting me - which was ace). I'd love to see more of that - it really draws you into the character and the game.

2. Can we have different sex scenes for the characters? Also, we should still be able to sleep with characters even after the first time, and I'd like a different scene there as well. Or at least introduce Pillow Talk - things you can talk to your LI only while in bed.

3. As mentioned before, the LI dialogue is *so* one sided. They rarely ask me about anything, so that derails the whole thing a bit IMHO.

Over all though, this type of "Romance System" adds something to video games that I never even thought was missing!

I also thought Duncan was sexy.   He had this strong, fierce gypsy sort of look going on.  That is all.

I'm game for a sweet, romantic elven girl. One that can provide the player a Leliana-like romance.



Orrr... a qunari? I kind of have this image of qunari women that look like She-Hulk. Big and strong and yet feminine. 'Course I could be mistaken, but if I'm not... an enigmatic woman of complicate tastes and views who is quite hard to undertand, not to mention flirt with. Yeah, I really like that idea. Also, violet eyes. *drools*



Otherwise, a human chick (mage would be pretty great, but social extraction doesn't matter much) who is smart, and quite sarcastic, but not in a sociopathic way (read: not like Morrigan) and wants a "normal" relationship. No eternal love, but no sex buddies either.



Also I need my dose of sexy accents. Orlais is still my prime choice, but maybe if one of the girls were Antivan...?

I total agree with points 2 & 3.    I don't know if they would include extra sex scenes, but pillow talk around the camp fire or somewhere would be a nice touch.

I wish Duncan was available as a LI.

I too agree with those points.
Well, pillow talk isn't exactly what I'd want, truth be told. I mean, it doesn't fit in with the setting much. How about Hawke and the LI sitting in front of a campfire at night, holding each other close, watching the stars and whispering... okay, maybe a little too far but I think I made my point.

The dialogue was quite one-sided, yes. I believe it was because most of the time romantic plots got completed only by the end of the game.. and yet, it's quite obvious that when a relationship is started, the conversations should become more, and more personal. Adding more LI dialogue, even if it's not all that intimate, would be one of the best improvements the devs could make.

I see where you're coming from, yes, but in DAO, for instance, we did not have beds. We had a bunch of animal skins and a blanket. That's why I'm not sure bed talk can be pulled off cleanly... unless Hawke has his/her base in a castle or something.

Well, remember at one point in DA:O, your "base" does move into a castle/estate.  And, maybe in DA2, you'll actually be able to stay at an inn if you're in a settled area.
