I was kind of hoping that Aveline would be a LI. My first playthrough is going to be as a mage on my mage import from DA:O, DA:A, and WH. I thought having a story where someone who doesn't really care for mages fall for a mage would be pretty interesting.

I like this idea. It would also be really sweet if Seb and either Fenris or Anders were a bi LI, just as it would be sweet if Isabela and a future female dlc character were both bi LIs too. In the interests of choice.

Sadly, dwarf romance probably woouldn't sell :< I was hoping for Varric myself.

Even worse, I'm still fairly sure the bi male LI will be Fenris. Still crossing my fingers for Anders or Varric though.

I really don't think Anders is going to be the bi male romance considering his character in DA:A. All he could talk about were women and all he did was flirt with the females. Plus one of his lines to the warden says all he wants is a pretty girl, a decent meal and to shoot lightning at fools. You can hope he's changed his sexuality but I don't think it works like that. However, someone brought up in another post how bioware makes all their rogues bi so you never know maybe varric will be the bi male love interest.

I wouldn't discount Varric quite yet. I'm actually fairly confident that he may be an LI.

He does have a very large fan girl following. The same thing got Garrus to be a LI in ME2. I'd say Varric has a good chance.

While Varric has a stampede of loyal fans, I think Anders had a similar stampede back when Awakening came out... Going by that logic, it's Anders's turn, and Varric would be romanceable in DA3, once developers knew that there was a large enough demand. *shrug* Heck, we don't know, there's not much use arguing about it really.

Considering the differences made to Anders, the writer switch, and the fact that I doubt they would shuffle the female players around with two angsty love interests, I really don't think you should consider Varric down for the count. That's all I'm saying.

I would predict this too... (or maybe DA 2 DLC? I dunno)

That would be kind of letdown, though, if Varric develops an amazing bond with the Hawke PC but you can only romance him as a new PC in DA 3.

I'm not really saying that Varric is down for the count, but Anders being a human and a returning character give him really good odds, as well, despite the changes to character and different writer. He's not down for the count either in that logic. And having two angsty love interests? Isabela and Merrill look to have their baggage as well, it's all how they carry it, is all.



LOL in the end someone's gonna feel angry and sad, no matter who they support...

Haha... Now THAT'S one heck of a fanbase to disappoint.   Yikes.  But wouldn't be surprised.
