I hope they DO offer at least one "hard to get" option. Morrigan was great because you could see her character growing and changing, and it was due almost entirely to her relationship with the Warden (whether romantic or platonic).
Plus, maybe it's just me, or maybe there are more like me out there, but I vastly prefer it when there are tons of obstacles. That's why I'm such a huge fan of Morrigan, and why I liked Jack so much in ME2. And why I THOUGHT I was going to like Ashley in ME1. It has so much more of an epic feel when love conquers all the obstacles, rather than there not being any obstacles in the first place. So whether it's baggage from a screwed up childhood (Morrigan/Jack) or regulations (like it should have been with Ashley), the more things threatening to kill the romance, the better.
